Ok whilst I never shared his extreme views on Matty I remember thinking about 18 months ago that Matty could be a useful player if he learned to finish. He always had a good touch and put in the effort but his goal return on chances was not good and you couldn't rely on him when a game was tight and we needed a goal He was the best we had however but I could understand T'bone,s stance even if he was over the top with his comments The Matty we are now seeing however is a changed man i believe over the last few games that his work rate has dropped and he hasn't played well. Having said that, he now looks like a natural scorer and his eye for a goal is 100% better . The way that he took the pass yesterday and to my mind knew exactly what he was going to do was evocative of Marcus Stewart who was to my mind the same type of player So for the final 2games could we please have Matty reinvigorated but with the same goal touch and maybe T,bone can give him his "most improved player" of the year award Problem is TB's criticism continued even when he started scoring goals regularly, he still misses now, last week's being a good example, but every striker misses chances Lakaku manged to miss around half a dozen yesterday! I can never understand why MT still gets critised, although he's on course for 30 goals, but Gaffney's seen as a god as he runs around alot but never looks like scoring.

I don't think we should be fair to T-Bone.
He's chosen not to be fair to MT. You reap what you so.
What a ridiculous suggestion.

I despair of some on here!! We have a striker who is highly likely to score 30 goals in a season, and still some are not satisfied, and are looking to find faults in his game.
A forward is rightly judged on his goals, and as top scorer, clearly MT is the best forward in the league, and we should be grateful that he plays for Rovers. Instead you have idiots trying to find faults, and worse still, some trying to justify the on-going, nasty and frankly laughable criticism he has continually received from the prize idiot on here T'bone.
I can only assume the people who post this sort of nonsense are the same types who like yesterday were shouting in disgust that DC hadn't made a substitution, the same types who complain that we 'only' drew an away game, and will be the ones who no doubt will say that we 'bottled it' if we fail to make automatic promotion.

He was back defending for most the second half and popped up with a beauty to take all the pressure off I right lady garden was stood behind me yesterday calling every player names,if everything he said was true we would be bottom with about 4 points not 4th with a good chance of going up Top tip for some supporters,if you don't know what you are talking about save all your bullshit for the pub with your mates, the fans stood around pay to watch football not negative bullshit from some gorm Utg Don't hold back say how you really feel lol !!!

Spot on. I can't help feeling that some on here would rather Matty had only scored 8 this season, and we were in mid-table mediocrity, so they could be right.

Matty Taylor at this right moment in time could walk into my house whilst I'm eating my Sunday roast and take a sh** in my dining room and flick a bit at me and I wouldn't criticise the bloke! ( bit extreme I know but you get the picture) for anyone right now to try and knit pick is ridiculous in my opinion, the bloke has come from non-league obscurity to now scoring over 40 goals in 2 seasons one in which is his first in the football league ! If he stuck every chance he had away he wouldn't be a Bristol rovers player because he wouldn't be playing in league 2 !

I've always thought from day one that T'Bone was on a wind up and he's kept it going because so many on here couldn't/can't see the joke.

And defending is something a midfielder is expected to do.

You know you have a top goal scorer when he's wrongly credited with the first goal & starts celebrating his 'goal'.

Gave Lines abuse the whole match and any player who happened to make a mishit a pass (which happens). Criticised any build up play before it even had any chance to develop. To add to that had no concept of personal space and kept bumping his arms into my back throughout. Him and his mate were blabbering on about how we were about to concede when we were under pressure from Exeter and I could not wait for us to do the inevitable and send it down the other end and into the goal to shut the game off, which I reckoned was about a minute or two away. Said happened and I had the pleasure of the same bloke cracking his elbow into my head celebrating the goal. THAT I did not mind! He then went back to giving us his dire commentary in his awful posh-ish drony accent.

Some might say that with his goals & growing reputation he's gonna get closer attention from defenders...... But I wouldn't subscribe to that.

But don't you just love it gasandelectricity? Some moronic clown who gobs off all match? I'm sure they think they're impressing all those around them with their encyclopedic knowledge & erudite perception of the game. It completely evades them they just look a twat. Funny how they appear when we're doing well!

Imagine Taylor reading some of these comments after the season(s) he's had.
No wonder he celebrates the way he does.

TBone was proved wrong last year and is demonstrably wrong again this year.
He has shown no fairness or contrition and has shown no class.
I will show him the same amount of fairness he has shown our top scorer 2 seasons running.

These are looking for an auto promotion, so they'll be throwing everything they've got at us. Watch out for Bodin and Gaffney when they come forward. They've got the top scorer in the league in their team, but I went on their forum last night, and apparently he's sh**, so don't bother marking him.

Every single person in the bloody ground could see that was needed.
