If we are getting over run in midfield you do something,if we are coping then fine it's not rocket science well thats what dc did,he took off montano and brought on ollie clarke with mansell going left but tucking in more but the decision was easier because montano wasnt effective in the 2nd half imo. for me its not such an obvious thing because it means your opponents are dictating the way your playing and forcing you to play in a style you dont wish too. I know it's what DC did but a lot of people were expecting the change as it was needed, just like against Gateshead when we were getting the runaround,he changed the team set up to compete and beat them. It.s known as being adaptable and is one of DC's strong points

Following on from the thread title, he may have had, and probably still has, an opinion different to most of ours, but he was never nasty about it, never swore, never picked on a poster, and to his credit praised those for performances that he thought was lacking.
Shame he felt the need to stop posting.

Shame he felt the need to stop posting. Really? I'd rather someone call me a prick, than repeat the same thing over and over again for two years without any sort of implicit acknowledgement to dialogue and interaction. Don't worry though, if we don't get promoted, he'll be back soon enough.

Shame he felt the need to stop posting. It is a shame when anybody feels that they have to stop posting, but as Hugo said earlier in this thread, the bloke did himself no favours, constantly contradicting himself when saying that MT misses too many chances and then when he scores saying that the rest of his performance was rubbish. Personally I still think he didn't believe anything he was writing on here and was 100% fishing, and getting a lot of bites in the process, I got caught once when I'd just had enough of the tripe coming from his keyboard and couldn't stop myself from responding, now whenever he posts I read it and have a little chuckle to myself that he's still carrying on with it, also don't think he's gone for good, he'll be back whether that's a good thing or not depends on your point of view, I myself think it's a better place without the wum's, differences of opinions are fine, just plain winding people up isn't.

I would like to think that when he's at the game, and he does come across as having paid his cash just like everyone else, he gives his full support. He only posts what he sees and thinks. I've had my rants at Taylor also. Goes too far? Yea he does. But like you I read his posts, laugh, move on. To oust him is going too far. Starting a thread about him is bang out of order.

Biggest WUM going. As was his last post. Some people need to stop taking it all so seriously. He doesn't.

You clearly never read his 'general sport' posts on both this and the previous forum....

when I started this thread I was trying to continue a conversation I was having in the ground with the guys around me about the fact that Matty had become a natural goal scorer with the proven highest percentage of goals to chances ratio. We felt that this aspect of his game had improved dramatically from the player he was last season. I pointed out that in my opinion ( and this view seemed to be shared by many who use the scoring system on the rate players section) he didn't have a great all round game but when it mattered he could move up a notch and score. He had a new found composure whereas last year he would have a rush of blood on many 1:1,s and missed more than he should have. If I look back at the pre season threads and even after the first Northampton game I and others wondered if Matty could make the transition as he wasn't going to get the amount of chances that he had last season . Look at how many Akinde scored last season compared to this. To my mind Matty deserves great credit for working on that aspect of his game and I am sure that Marcus Stewart deserves credit as I feel that his coaching has helped. I mentioned T,bone in the thread title because his judgement was obviously based on what he saw last year and I felt that he should be given the chance to re-appraise his thinking based on what he now saw. What has shocked me is how the whole point of the thread has been ignored and people have chosen to see it as a negative criticism of our top scorer and personally attack forum members and use obscene terms to describe them - nothing short of the mob mentality. Sadly The people who praise DC to the hilt are the ones who will bay for his blood when we go 6 games without a win - which will surely happen . I now realise that this forum is not the place for measured and thought out debate and will sign out once and for all Up the gas and fingers crossed for promotion Sorry that you feel you have been misunderstood, but it is hardly surprising when you choose to continue a conversation that you had on the terrace which none of us were privy to. You then go on to say that Tbone should be given the chance to re-appraise his view when there has never been anything or anyone stopping him from doing so bar himself. As for the point of the thread I am still struggling with that despite your best efforts. Finally I'm sorry if you felt that my reply was aggressive towards you, that was not my intention I was just trying to emphasise my view. I will try to be more polite in future.
