What scenes! The trail of cans and bottles seemed to go on for miles! Felt like a carnival! Best night out ever, the extreme hangover this morning was well worth it!

Never experienced anything quite like that before. Was jealous of Leicester last Monday when I saw the scenes there but now don't feel left out. Still hasn't sunk in that we actually did it and the euphoria and joy amongst all gasheads down glos road was a sight to behold. Wael coming down and starting chants outside the vic was incredible. What a bloke. "Bye bye league 2 bye bye league 2!"

Just got back home in Liverpool, the celebrations, especially on Gloucester Road, were the best ever. We took part in the Liverpool homecoming in 2005, after the Champions League final, and it was more joyous than that, although to be fair there was half a million fans on the streets for that one.

Was outside the Vic until about 8. Was incredible. Non stop singing. Police had to shut Gloucester Road. All the shops including the petrol station were running out of booze. Okey cokey in the middle of the road. All these years of pain were worth it just for yesterday. I absolutely love this club. Was close to tears even before kick off as it really felt like we've got our Rovers back. Then when we scored it all came out. UTG!!!!!!

I'm sure it's an unpopular view, but do you think oxfords car park and roundabout blockade and frankie and bennies take over was as much fun as our Gloucester Road shut down carnival? I'd love to see us redevelop the mem not move to a soulless greenfield site. There I said it!

It's all about location, location, location though.
UWE has better road, rail & parking especially for conferences, concerts etc. Easy to find, unlike the mem.

Top quality policing from A&S. They could have easily cleared the road but eventually closed it in the end allowing for a great pee up!

While I will miss Gloucester Road and terracing, the Mem site is simply not suitable for redevelopment. While I don't want an 'out of town' stadium, I think the UWE location is pretty good compared to a lot if new grounds. Still in our heartlands and surrounded by urban areas. Maybe we could look into running shuttle buses the short distance from Glos Rd on match days? To make up for the lack of pubs around the ground

To make up for the lack of pubs around the ground start at the vic, pub crawl down Gloucester RD to Montpelier train station then 5 minute hop to abbeywood station missing out all the traffic. Perfect.
