A Goalkeeper, Centre back, creative midfielder, 2 out and out wingers and a striker is what we need imo. Can understand where you are coming from with your list BUT if all our strikers stay - Harrison, Easter, Gaffney and Taylor - would you want to sign another ? Personally, not sure about keeping Harrison (and Easter - could he give us one more season or will age catch up with him, especially in L1 ?) I'm not his biggest fan but would keep him at the right price. He gives the opposition something to think about off the bench.

For a new keeper - Josh Lillis at Rochdale, really good shot stopper and great distribution - has been offered a new deal by them but Rovers could offer him more (would he move South though) ? If I lived in Rochdale I'd bite your arm off to live in Bristol.

Goalie wise with Mildenhall & Puddy being offered new deals can we afford another on the books?

He was absolutely shocking when we played them three weeks ago. A player from a struggling Div 2 team that is himself struggling to get a new contract with them? I think we should be aiming a bit higher than that. He isn't ' struggling to get a contract with them'. They would love to keep him. It's true that he hasn't been as good this season compared to last. But he'll end up at a League 1 club this summer. Versatile defender. Upgrade on Clarke or Parkes. Brought up in Gloucestershire. Would be a ' Realistic' signing.

Balanta and LDV both looking for clubs now. I know DC tried to get LDV over the summer but he snubbed us - guess that worked out for him!
Wonder if we might see either of them back?

Doug Walker. Promising young midfielder. I understand he's had talks with Darrell and has met with Wael.

Good shout, I think he'll be snapped up by a higher club soon enough, he's got that bit of flair that would excite the fans. I'm not sure if he'd do the business at a higher level or not, but if anyone could get the best out of him, it's DC. I'd also like to see a new GK, new CB and new left mid. Another player I've seen a few times on the TV and been impressed by is Blair Spittal at Dundee United. I know they've been awful this year in a terrible league, but he seems to be better than that. Another good player in the SPL is Sam Nicholson at Hearts, who would be an excellent addition on the left wing, but probably out of our reach.

Think DC has said at some point that the club had Akinola watched a number of times after he impressed against us at the Mem for Braintree, and he was fairly poor - so we didn't go for him.
