I have heard differently, I'm hoping you're correct. I'd hope he'd show us some loyalty. Was struggling for a club due to injuries before coming here. From what I have heard, we have offered bodin not the greatest of contracts. Others are sniffing around for him but he likes it here and wants to stay. Just a bit annoyed about what he's been offered. Again this could be wrong but it's what I've been told

I have heard differently, I'm hoping you're correct. What hav you heard? Would you like to share your information? I think Billy Bob would do a good job for us in league 1. It would be a shame if we lose him. I've heard he loves it at Rovers and appreciates DC giving him a chnce to get his FL career back on track, assuming we've offered him a decent deal I'd be disappointed if he now went elsehwhere, unless he also moved up to the Championship but I can't honestly see that happening.

I'd say he's repaid us that in the last 2 seasons to be fair. Intrigued what he did for us 2 seasons ago?! (Sorry Hugo!) That threw me a bit Hugo saying that!

Oh, ok. I've just re-read it.
I thought Bish was talking about Taylor as the previous few posters had been.

Hopefully will see some more signatures by the end of the week but can't help but think a few players may get better or longer deals elsewhere and move on . Wouldn't bother me to much, in DC I trust !

He could take Matty Taylor's place if we sadly lose him, Billy is a good finisher.

Great news about Leadbitter! I also feel Matty will probably leave though, and will certainly be very very hard to replace. Matty does so much more than just score goals, his all-round game is an inspiration, and we will miss that.

No chance of that IMO. Think we will be looking elsewhere. We need to set him a deadline or he could keep us hanging on for the next three weeks whilst his agent tries to get him a championship club and potential replacements get snapped up by other clubs. .......Leadbitter joins goalkeeper Mildenhall in penning a new contract. The futures of Will Puddy, James Clarke, Mark McChrystal, Tom Parkes, Chris Lines, Lee Mansell, Ellis Harrison, Billy Bodin, Cristian Montano, Jake Gosling and Ollie Clarke are all expected to be resolved shortly. The usual 28-day-period they are offered to decide whether or not to accept terms draws close to a conclusion. In-demand striker Matty Taylor is expected to be given a longer period over whether to accept a significantly improved contract or to take one of the several offers that have been tabled from other clubs.
It is understood that the club hope to have the issue resolved one way or the other by the time Rovers return to pre-season training at the start of July.www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristol-Rovers-defender-Daniel-Leadbitter-signs/story-29374921-detail/story.html#ixzz4AzoNwikS

Agreed, its a different situation to bringing new players in, these and tried and tested and work for us so they should be offered their value to us.

All depends what they were on before really doesn't it.
Given Bodin signed on non-contract terms (?) initially, I wouldn't be surprised if his deal in October was fairly poor. An increase on that may be poor in Bodin's eyes given his form in the second half of the season. Not sure that's anybody's fault mind, as long as its negotiated as he could be fairly lethal with a full pre-season under his belt.
I hope Taylor gets sorted soon, as I'd rather have a replacement in for most of pre-season. Plenty available but it needs to be sorted soon.
