I've bet on Romania to beat France tomorrow night. I always cheer on the underdog in those games. Odds of 10-1

Not Rovers related. Sorry, had to be done How many ex Rovers players have played in a European Championships? Off the top of my head I can only think of Vitas... any more?? Do you mean players who played for us and then went on to appear in the Euros, or any player who at some point in their career played in the Euros and for us? If the latter, then Alan Ball did both.

Buzzing for the Euros to be honest. Just nice to get a football fix. I'm also massively patriotic. So even though I've no doubt we'll fail to win it, and we could easily be slating the "overpaid wannabes" as soon as it goes tits up, until that point I'll be right behind them Buzzing! Amen to that!

I have to admit I'm not familiar with about a third of the England squad these days, so any views I have are just based on uninformed prejudice. Nothing new there on a forum.
But the reason is I don't buy newspapers much any more (who does?), don't subscribe to Sky sports (rip-off), and often miss Match Of The Day. I always used to watch it, or recorded it, but I feel strangely distant from all that Premier League stuff now.

Supporting Republic of Ireland, and looking forward to the Euros starting - will fill the gap nicely up to the pre-season friendlies.

What about Keith Curle. Obviously after he played for us.

I'm really hoping Northern Ireland do well. No stars, a team of journeymen (no offence intended), a striker who used to be a Keeper, no money, but bags of spirit. What's not to like?
I'm also really hoping that this will be the tournament too far for Germany. Löw should have resigned after the World Cup, and that is the view of most of my German friends. They don't have a striker (Mario Gomez anyone?), plus some of their big names have either retired (Lahm) or are now just sh1te (Schweinstiger). They have really struggled since winning the World Cup.
My money is on Italy.

I think Engerrland will win it and woy will have his face printed on the new £10 notes. Rovers squad on the Bristol pound? £1, 5, 10 & 20 denominations. That'll annoy the neighbours

Perhaps the duke will get so sick of looking at rovers players and give up on city altogether.

I could not care less about the England team. I used to get so worked up about it and followed every game from 1990 until about 2006 but that was when it started to show through that they only really care about the cash and not the country. From then on I tuned out.
Thought I'd change my mind and took a look at a build up program the other night. When I heard the soulless droning of the faceless multi-millionaires who claim to be the England football team I knew I'd made the right decision to ignore them.

For me, Rooney should never have been picked for England again after what he said and did in South Africa.
