I suppose you wouldn't know as you aren't there.
It is hard to walk away when having chairs, bottle etc thrown at you from all directions.
Are there some idiots there? Absolutely but once again the English press over reacting and painting fans in a bad light when they aren't at fault.
You are correct I am not there ,and base my view entirely on the footage I saw on Russian TV. In which no effort was being made to walk away by anyone(not just English people) ,the individuals I saw appeared to be wanting to stay and were enjoying it. It is those I draw my judgement on ,others elsewhere may be acting differently. In that environment it would be hard to walk away especially if you are on your own.
Throughout the last 2/3 days England fans have been having a good time and in good spirits etc with no trouble. The trouble only started when the locals arrived and the Russians but the English will get the blame as it is the easiest thing for the press to report.
It was a stupid idea to put England vs Russia in Marseille after what happened in 98.

I'm sure there are some innocent people caught up in the trouble. However jumping up and down waving your hands around singing nationalistic songs whilst making beckoning gestures to the police and other people is hardly the actions of people caught in trouble trying to peacefully get away from it to enjoy the rest of their evening. I suppose you wouldn't know as you aren't there.

I'm sure the England fans were only acting in self defence when they decided to set fire to a cafe then?? Its all the d*ckheads who give their clubs a bad name during the season, joining up and doing exactly the same for their country in the summer.

You mean the café they were sat at before they were attacked? Do you know for certain English fans set fire to it?
D*ckheads for being attacked by other fans...great logic.

[br England fans have a reputation for a reason, because they cause trouble whenever they travel. I'm not saying it's every fan, but let's not pretend that this is all innocent. There's plenty of videos online of "fans" jumping around with there tops off, launching bottles and chairs etc at police. Have a look for yourself and tell me who's being attacked..

I'm thinking this has been done for a reason. Shameful images of British fans disgracing ourselves in Europe just before a big vote? My tin foil hat is on

It's always safer to stay in numbers and stick together.

English fans involved in trouble?! surely not?!
I'm sorry but it is not just a coincidence that we have a bad reputation when travelling. If you really believe it then you are deluded.
Let's face it we have too many people/fans who think we are bigger than what we are because of our history as a country. These brainless idiots tarnish our reputation. No doubt they think they are being passionate and fighting for their country. The "we'll do what we want brigade" strike again.

What a fine example our "Fans" are setting again just what the French authoratise need as if they don't have enough to deal with at the moment makes you proud to be English-----NOT!! But if we leave the EU and WW3 breaks out as predicted by Cameron, at least some of our lads are "ready"

It doesn't have to be one way or the other. Message to French police - If a group of blokes are on the water all day chanting , singing and having a great time then don't fire tear gas at them you'll just start trouble. The English police over there have gone on record saying that the French police do things very differently than our police. Yes we've got our hooligan element we all know that but with proper policing you can keep it to a minimum but from what I've seen they've made it 10 times worse.

Kin hell fella ,please don't start telling the truth . Lets face it what will the anti english, englishmen have to slag their own off about. we all know if your born in england you have to be ready to slag off your countrymen at the drop of a hat, and in the spirit of being a modern sheepish copycat, you know when attacked you have to either stand still or run,as defending yourself is not allowed. and yet even if you that,it's still your fault.
