We will lose in the semis.Either France or Belgium will win it. I have a funny feeling Belgium will flop (ala England's Golden Generation, [and several of Spain's prior to them finally winning a major tournament]) I had the exact conversation with someone earlier, even using Spain as an example!

I'm really hoping Northern Ireland do well. No stars, a team of journeymen (no offence intended), a striker who used to be a Keeper, no money, but bags of spirit. What's not to like? I'm also really hoping that this will be the tournament too far for Germany. Löw should have resigned after the World Cup, and that is the view of most of my German friends. They don't have a striker (Mario Gomez anyone?), plus some of their big names have either retired (Lahm) or are now just sh1te (Schweinstiger). They have really struggled since winning the World Cup. My money is on Italy. Yeah Germany are too short a price for me. I'm going with France. Apart from that I'm struggling to pick a winner as all the usual suspects seem to be in a transitional period.

Croatia look very strong, strong enough to win it? Probably not, but stranger things happen.
I'd bet on France, strong side, home advantage and with all that's happened in Paris I think they will really unite this time round rather than the usual French tournament scenario of players and staff falling out and turning into soap operas.
I also think Spain will struggle and finish below Croatia and Czech Republic.

On one hand they haven't really done anything at international level yet and lost to the likes of Wales in qualifying and recent results nothing special. However they have quality players all over the pitch in every position. Kompany will be a big loss but they have enough quality to cover him. They are probably the most intriguing team of the tournament for me.

I could not care less about the England team. I used to get so worked up about it and followed every game from 1990 until about 2006 but that was when it started to show through that they only really care about the cash and not the country. From then on I tuned out. Thought I'd change my mind and took a look at a build up program the other night. When I heard the soulless droning of the faceless multi-millionaires who claim to be the England football team I knew I'd made the right decision to ignore them. really!! I felt similar since 96 but if you watched this campaign then you would know this side is young and hungry, surely? The Germany game was a great example. Give them a chance I say

Do we honestly have someone that can change a game like Payet? Dele alli? Tbh I'm not really worried about our attacking threat, but more about our defence, Stones and Smalling are a recipe for disaster, and I don't think we have any good enough holding midfielders.

How Stones was being touted at £50m last season is ridiculous.

Watched the first half last night in the pub. Missed the goals but just seen them briefly on a catch up show.
What fecking pundit said we've already seen goal of the tournament??? After one game.
Top corner from outside the box. But because it's Payet in the last minute we all have to cream ourselves over it. Settle the feck down.
Better to come, guaranteed.
And Bale Is funny, never heard somebody talk so much bollocks.

I'm pretty sure the England "fans" as you put it, just like the French police would rather not have the trouble. But when you are attacked by different groups people of course the fans will retaliate!

All the footage I've seen is the scummy French-Algerian lady gardens attacking the English. And then we've retaliated, and as always it's our fault.

Do we honestly have someone that can change a game like Payet? I think Harry Kane can create something out of nothing. I like the variety of goals he is capable of scoring.

However jumping up and down waving your hands around singing nationalistic songs whilst making beckoning gestures to the police and other people is hardly the actions of people caught in trouble trying to peacefully get away from it to enjoy the rest of their evening.

I suppose you wouldn't know as you aren't there.
It is hard to walk away when having chairs, bottle etc thrown at you from all directions.
Are there some idiots there? Absolutely but once again the English press over reacting and painting fans in a bad light when they aren't at fault.

You are correct I am not there ,and base my view entirely on the footage I saw on Russian TV. In which no effort was being made to walk away by anyone(not just English people) ,the individuals I saw appeared to be wanting to stay and were enjoying it. It is those I draw my judgement on ,others elsewhere may be acting differently.
