Yep, at the moment. He has done nothing to make me change my mind. We should be top of this league;but his failure to get a striker in has cost us. Lets all hope that Easter can do the bizzo. Because Mattttteeeee Talor certainly has failed in that department so far. So it's Clarkes fault that the strikers have missed a few important chances? If DCs tactics mean that we are creating the chances, how can it be his fault if the strikers don't put them in. Also, has he not signed three strikers since the start of the season? [b 3 strikers? We signed an overweight, unfit White. An injured, unfit Balanta. And that Matttteeeeee Taylor, it may not be his fault that Taylor has missed all of those chances? But it is his fault that Taylor keeps getting picked.

Taylor is one of our best players. Whilst he doesn't score every chance, he has a pretty average return overall, but I'd have him in the team more for his hold up play, movement, and passing than I would his finishing.

My internet connection is poor so I havent read this whole thread but DC took us down. I really believe JW would have got enough points to keep us up. Pre season was awful. The start to the season is shocking. I just don't get the DC love in. Well, you've changed your tune. I guess I wasn't the only doubter, but DC has turned it round. Fair play. I still think he was the wrong appointment last season and that Ward would have kept us up just. :-) agree he turned around a very worrying start

Darrell Clarke is the best thing about this club right now. Course he is. He got us in to a tinpot league, where we lose to tinpot teams and are 6 points behind Tinpot Barnet.

Might have scraped a draw out of Bury, Torquay and Mansfield but we were going down under JW anyway. I believe DC is the man to take the club forward, and if we fail this year we can't boot him out or we'll be stuck down here for a lot longer.

Alright alright. 4 months. Still far too early to be dragging this out though. We've been in a better position than this before and f**ked it right up so I'm not getting excited just yet.

Ward had no interest and neither did moat of his players. His transfer policy or lack of it sent us down.

He didnt get us into this league, he was the manager when we went down, two totally different things. Useless, ideological, one up front, could talk, but couldnt achieve anything Mr J Ward was responsible for our relegation. You call Barnet tinpot? well John Ward would have had one up front against them at home! Darell has done a fantastic job so far and getting the players we need in. Transfers never always come off ask any manager. There is a great mood in the camp now, the smiles on the faces under JW was the result of a different diet, mention of which closed the other forum down. He is straight talking and only picks players who give everything and are ultimately fit to wear the shirt. The results are plain to see for everyone apart from those who wish to hold onto their old and outdated and untrue beliefs.

I wasn't on the old official forum, not being much into social media at the time, but I often hear such strange things. What on earth was going on?

Thats because he is clueless. The same as he was last season. I will never accept he is manager of my club.He is the man who took us to hell Why give a man a chance who was part of a management team who played the most negative football ever, got two lucky wins and got us relegated, he's that bad I'd have Buckle back, that is how bad he is . So, would you have buckle back now. DC is doing a good job and has done very well to get us where we are. P.s buckle's recent form at Cheltenham. P8 W1 D3 L4 12.50 % Hardly worth having back, that was a bad insult, buckle was totally useless.

I will pm him and be warned, I will delete any post answers this question. Not that this was the diet (I believe), but I will re-tell something DC revealed. After we got stuffed 4-0 away (at Hartlepool I think), DC wanted to rip into the players. JW instead sat them down for 15 minutes and talked about lifestyles, and living/eating the right way. That night (or the next day, can't remember) some of the players ended up out on the water. Instead of bringing this thread back, we would be better taking a look at what people were expecting/hoping for this season. Many peoples minimum requirements were a lot lower than 2nd, and plenty said top 10 this season would be a good start. Well done DC.
