Back to the matter in hand. Wael was asked on tweeter if it would effect his plans for Uwe or the club.
He tweeted
@shaunmadge if anything this reinforces the need to work on strengthening infrastructure and academy as per our vision.

Did you really expect an answer of " crap, crap the material costs have gone up ,we could be losing our cheap labour force and nobody has confidence anymore to invest ,I'm going back to Jordan to sit by the pool for a while till it calms down in ten years or so" :-D The project will continue but economics in the uk has changed ,if it doesn't what was the point in brexit ?

Well, if anything, a slowing down (or even recession) of the economy would make external investment more desirable, in the sense that things would be cheaper. If they were looking to the UK economy to recoup their investment, then that would be less desirable, but as everyone knows, football doesn't follow the normal rules for business investments. The football economy will be entirely stable for the duration of the latest TV deals. So for any foreign investment, they will be getting more bang for their Dinar.

Of course not, but it would have been easy to ignore the tweet and say nothing. Now we can trade with more countries, whose to say we can't get materials for cheaper, or atleast the same price. Once things settle down they will still want to trade with us, they still want to make money. But we won't be limited to who we can trade with. The EU will be worse without us, without our help, so they will still want to make deals with us and us with them.

Without slipping into politics.......a big vote swayer in southwest wales was the fact that cheap steel from abroad could now get a tarriff added to enable the uk steel industry to compete ,it was also proposed builders would be'encouraged' to use British steel when looking for planning consents..... This is good news for steel workers and their towns and a definite positive ,however if you are a company about to build a huge steel structure in a few years you might be wondering how much extra this is going to cost you. BRFC fits into the latter currently. So from a completely self centred selfish point of view it may not be the best of news on that front. If we order the steel before the two years is up and brexit is complete we will be laughing.....a good incentive for people to pull their fingers out and really crack on with the uwe stadium......in my view .

Key word is could. Nothing is going to happen fast, hopefully we will agree prices before any changes, if that is the case.

"nothing is going to happen fast" EU seems to be suggesting otherwise today, sounds like they want us out asap, apparently Cameron can't even attend the next EU meeting.

As others have said, I'm not really sure what SH is saying here, ot why he's saying it.
I don't think that the possible? Restriction on European players being automatically allowed to play in this country is going to affect our club, or any other L1 or 2 clubs very much, and why leaving the EU should have any affect on a bank which is based, and seems to trade in the Middle East is beyond me.
Perhaps he is trying to be statesman like, but I would prefer he stuck to being our chairman rather than Andrew Marr. He does seem to like the sound of his own voice, appearing on Subs bench etc.
We all get excited then he gets on air and spouts a lot of hot air, and just like a politician tells us nothing new.
I know we were all frustrated with the previous incumbent, but this fellow seems very clever at the old smoke and mirrors routine.

I imagine he was just asked the question a few times by worried Gasheads and just wanted to reply there's nothing to worry about. I don't see how or why you'd call it smoke and mirrors unless there's something to hide or some trick being played.
