I know we were all frustrated with the previous incumbent, but this fellow seems very clever at the old smoke and mirrors routine. I imagine he was just asked the question a few times by worried Gasheads and just wanted to reply there's nothing to worry about. I don't see how or why you'd call it smoke and mirrors unless there's something to hide or some trick being played. My meaning was that he is very astute at saying something, and when you analyse it you realise that he has told you precisely nothing new. In this instance, I would suggest he has thrown no light on Brexits affect on BRFC.

Did any Gashead seriously think on Thursday morning "I wonder how does this effect Rovers?"

I certainly didn't.

UWE will lose EU research grants, where does that leave the stadium? We re the second highest net contributor to the EU, in other words we put in more than we take out. I would suppose we could give out research grants with the money the EU took to spend on other countries. I'm still mad that the EU gave Cadburys grants to move to Poland as they have little "export" industry there. (Making our own workers redundant). What's holding up the stadium at the minute is that we want the freehold of the land and not a lease, which is nothing to do with Brexit, the EU, You or me

I so hope I am wrong.

I was talking to a mate who's an academic type, and he reckons that universities don't sell land, it's something they just don't do....

obviously my point was very general and there will be examples of exeptions, hopefully a purchase of land from uwe will be an example of one....

They're also building on bits of the St Matthias campus in Fishponds. Was about to say the same. The UWE site in Fishponds is being developed. I doubt any house builders outside of london would build on leasehold land.
