I was hoping we would take advantage of the FFP rule for new league entrants which means for the first 2 years we can spent a higher proportion of our turnover than the rest of L1. Key word there being turnover. What sort of turnout do you reckon we make at the Mem compared to Sheffield United,or Charlton etc. etc.
Taking other clubs out of it, bottom line is we would be able to spend more on wages this season than we will next season, so why not take advantage?
Club for club although we have a bigger percentage of our turnover to play with, clubs like the ones you mention will generate a higher turnover, but there aren't many that will be better off than us in that respect.

How about the cost to all those massive stadium upgrades we are having, that must come out of all the money we made last year... oh wait what money

Wael has to start showing why he is here sooner or later.
I heard that instead of big signings we would be getting higher level players on season long loans instead ? - presumably this is up-and-coming players from Premiership clubs (id start with Palace if true, loaned quality players to the lower 2 levels last season)

Problem is when did paying mega wages at Rovers ever bring success? I'd sooner DC went for value for money than throwing money away on big contracts.

Read a quote on here somewhere that we will be getting quality season long loans rather than big transfers in, quoted from DC.

If we did want to get promoted, this league can be bought, just look at City and Wigan over the last 2 seasons.
I'd be happy doing enough to stay in L1 until we have the new stadium on the horizon, without that there is no point going any further imo.

You don't want to go believing quotes on here.

I think DC will keep a low profile in this transfer window simply because he knows every agent out there knows we've got money now.
Smart move IMO. Go big next season.

You don't want to go believing quotes on here. It would make sense though to do it that way.
Shrewsbury had Sullay Kaikai on loan last season, Plymouth had Hiram Boateng, both from Palace and both will be top players in the future but not quite ready for top flight footy yet. Those are the ones we should be aiming for.
Low risk for potentially high output.

Paddy Madden, I know he'll probably to pricey, but seems like a similar player to Taylor, proven at this level as well
