Yes, the baguettes are very good.
There is a new menu of burgers and hotdogs, did not notice the prices.
Some supporters arrive at the ground, want to go straight in and buy a pie/pasty and tea/coffee/Bovril before taking their place. Some Gasheads travel a considerable distance to the ground and that is the only way they can get a snack before or during a game.
I make the point again. What difference, time wise, is selling a pie to selling a pasty. The only way you are going to shorten the queue is by having less customers = less revenue.
There shouldnt be. If anything the drinks probably take longer Which is why i wonder what the ratio of sales are If enough people turn up at the first game and are disappointed maybe it will change One for BSS and Ken.perhaps?Already emailed them.
In the scheme of things, this is a minor irritation taking into account the bigger picture.
But, someone has taken it into their own hands to make this decision and I do not think it is Robert.

The kitchen is still open in the Bristol room though. So you have the option there to get sometbing to eat. How many pies do they sell compared to Pasties in the ground? Yes, the baguettes are very good.

Perhaps someone can work it out using the mathematical constant π ??

I know its good for the club, but it always amuses me how some fans cant go for a couple of hours without having any food or drink.

Strange decision. If they're only going to sell pasties then sell the best. My son moved to Cornwall a few years back and when I was visiting him I stumbled across this place www.pastypresto.com/menu/ they even do a chocolate and banana one which is to die for, which I nearly did with the heartburn afterwards. I see they've got a franchise in Bath now so why not team up with them. Now you'll have to forgive me 'cos I haven't been home in years and these might be commonplace there now but one thing they sell over here that I always thought would be good to sell at games are soups in a bread bowl www.buzzfeed.com/rachelysanders/bread-bowls?utm_term=.daNbDD5wpL#.yt20GG3xmg (look at #14) and very little litter because you're eating what it comes in. Cor........mouth's watering now.....what I'd give for a pork pie. Funny what you miss. UTG!

They do look good, but can you imagine the mess if people were eating those when Lee Brown scored that winner against Daggers?

What will we sing to overweight opposition players now ? Who ate all the Pasties just does not have the same ring to it at all.

Completely back this decision. I think the club should stop selling Hi Sugar content products as well, maybe they will have some supports not die on their hands with diabetes... Its very strange that a club which on one hand promotes a well men programme for its older supporters, but fills its food outlet with hi sugar & fat content food... Rant over

Not fussed.
IMO the club should be selling carrot sticks with hummus and avocado with prawns instead of fatty old pies anyway.

Its the same problem opposition fans had at FGR's ground when Jon Parkin was playing. Kind of nullified any water taking...

True, I very rarely buy anything at football grounds because you overpay for sh**e. Usually make sure I have something before. Tight Wad... Can't argue with that fella 😂

Looking around the mem on match day, this is probably a good initiative. Some of you fat Barstewards need to lose a few pounds if you are to fit into our new skin tight macron shirts If all the fatties dropped a couple of dress sizes we could easily up the capacity to 13 or 14 thousand.

Yeah, I was only half joking really. I would buy either of the foods I suggested over a pie or pasty!

Where you hear this? If true, then sack Robert Lawrence as he's the one in charge of catering! I could not believe this when told by the lady in the pasty hut so emailed the Stadium Manger and this was his reply.
Someone suggested that the profit is more on a pasty than on a pie. Could that be the real reason?
Maybe we're getting a pasta hut, which would cut some fans down to size and enable us to fit in more people on matchdays.

Kidderminster had an interesting menu at their ground, serving Chilli Con Carne of all things!

its quiet obvious that there are more pies left over than pasty's. this is probably a commercial decision that really is not a problem. I do feel that the in ground food outlets could be improved. Why not have a few baguettes in each hut? I'm sure they will sell well in Sept & April/May.
