Can't see why he was watching us as he wont be going to Swansea, looked at his Twitter account no clues there, strange one, would tear up Division 1, cannot see it realistically, but you never know.

This is the message i received from James > As far as I am aware, Carayol was just there to watch the game, Steve. I don't why or the circumstances but he is not a player they are looking to sign is what I have been told

Would be a superb signing and show that we really mean business in L1.
Muzzy is a real crowd pleaser and would almost certainly boost attendances. A great footballer who creates and scores goals.
Unfortunately he's probably out of our reach.

I don't why or the circumstances but he is not a player they are looking to sign is what I have been told Why choose to watch a meaningless Rovers match, when he doesn't seem to still have any contacts at the club? Unless he's friends with a Swansea player? I personally wouldn't read too much into what J Mc says as he didn't have a clue about Wael until the deal was done and thought MT was off.

Sir Buckle had left him out for half of the year until we were 3-0 down to Port Vale at home👀

He's an amateur at best and really doesn't have a clue what's happening half the time.
He's probably a nice bloke but some of his reporting is shocking.

Has left Middlesborough with the clubs blessing and very kind words by their Manager. Played well in their first friendly at York a week or so ago and is fit and ready to play. Never say never I say, you never know? I for one would love to see him back. Article in Middlesborough Gazettelive about the situation. www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/mustapha-carayol-leave-middlesbrough-clubs-11641645Aitor Karanka has confirmed that Mustapha Carayol is actively looking for a new club with Boro’s blessing. The Middlesbrough FC boss admits there isn’t space in his rapidly expanding Premier League squad for the popular winger. However Karanka has paid tribute to Carayol, who joined Boro from Bristol Rovers four years ago in a £250,000 transfer. He soon won the hearts and minds of the Riverside faithful but a cruciate knee ligament injury in March 2014 sidelined him for the best part of a year. Since then he’s struggled to break into the Boro team and spent time on loan at Brighton, Leeds and Huddersfield. Carayol performed will in the pre-season friendly at York earlier this month but the fact that he didn’t travel to Spain with the first team squad on Monday provided a massive clue that he isn’t part of Karanka’s long-term plans.“I spoke with him (about his future) and I think it’s better for both parties that he moves on,” the Spaniard told The Gazette. “(The decision means) I think as soon as possible he can go to a team and that will be better for him. “We are a Premier League squad, we are bringing in quality players, Muzzy was last season on loan at Leeds and Huddersfield and he couldn’t play and for that reason it has been difficult for him. “But as soon as he has a new team that will be good for him.”Carayol appeared to have established himself in Karanka’s first team line-up when he suffered that knee injury at Bournemouth. Since then the 27-year-old’s career has stagnated. Karanka hopes a new club will enable the London-born Gambia international to rediscover the form that made him such an electrifying spectacle. “I can only say good things about Muzzy because his attitude over the last two weeks and his attitude with us has been amazing,” added the Boro boss.

Can't see there being any chance but it is odd that he was there given I can't imagine he's particularly close with any of the current squad. He would be able to get a top league one team easily though surely.

could it be that he just went to watch fellow Gambian international winger modou barrow? Suggest that in my post but it seems a long journey just to watch a mate play, unless they were off somewhere localish after the match. I doubt there's any chance of him returning to Rovers.

Dear me, I remember the slating he used to get on the old OF. Haha. When he wanted to leave he was a basic twat and said he wouldn't play and was giving the club lots of grief and even said we were holding him in a hostage style. Not someone who would suit Clarkey I reckon

I distinctly remember after the Totton game more than one person saying that that was about his level which is why he looked so good.

It was a bad time all round so I think we had the trio of players who wanted to rule the roost plus managers coming and going before and after. I'd rather like to forget about it but it's hard when you know how much Higgsy had to spend. I have no love in with NH but he got us through that time and the players were getting some stick for sure but then many deserved it as far as I see it

muzzy is a Championship player who will probably due to injuries have to be satisfied with a league 1 club so why not us? Should certainly be the sort of player we SHOULD be looking at if we mean business at this level. On his day a class act especially at home but I also remember the majority of away games where he could be a liability and I don't think he would be a DC sort of player.

How many wingers do we need? Secondly he must be on what £15k a week at least? Injury prone, and well we don't NEED him, (Some may want him) So it is a no from me
