Nah, before that. He was getting it good and proper in the time he wasn't starting but being used as an impact sub. I distinctly remember after the Totton game more than one person saying that that was about his level which is why he looked so good. It was a bad time all round so I think we had the trio of players who wanted to rule the roost plus managers coming and going before and after. I'd rather like to forget about it but it's hard when you know how much Higgsy had to spend. I have no love in with NH but he got us through that time and the players were getting some stick for sure but then many deserved it as far as I see it Hmm ... I just think many Rovers fans have that very Bristolian trait of "moan now, ask questions later" Ellis Harrison scored crucial goals to get us out of the conference. Look at the thread dedicated to him. So dis Matt Taylor. Look at the threads dedicated to him. Muzzy Crayons got it. So did Jamie Cureton. So did Jason Roberts.

What I remember of Muzzy was he had a good finish to the season(home games) the last 5 or 6 he was on fire, before that and away from home he was nonexistent. As others have said, is this a DC player?

I've said it for a long time now and no one likes it said but we are a Rizla away from the 82 ers. The times of us being really and very different are gone but I hold onto the memories. You would think that after the first ever B2Bpromotuond that we would all be fully backing out manager, board and all but the reality is much different. I saw those changes were on full display over Steve Eliot. Our own fans fighting each other. Cureton ? Lazy bastard lol. Harrison IMO has scored the most important goals but still gets so much stick. I guess that things always change as that is the nature of life but I would like to see some balance in comments and not prolonged hate & based of daft assumptions

If we really had money this would be a signing we'd be attempting to make.

I'd have him back here but if geography is the issue he isn't coming here.

Unless a player is absolutely determined to play in London, I don't think Bristol is a problem at all. I read a lot of posts saying players turn us down because of where we are. This is nonsense. Two hours from London, in the south, where the weather is better, and a great vibrant city with nightlife to attract even the most boozie professional footballer.
Players move all over the country if the money and prospects are right. If they didn't, Middlesbrough would now be in the Conference, and Swansea would be playing in the Welsh League.
The only reason players might turn us down is that we've been utter crap from 2001 in the eyes of every fan and player across the country until the DC revival.

50 games in 4 years. I would personally give the man a wide birth unless he would take a pay as you play deal.

He is the type of player we need, someone who can create something out of nothing, a matchwinner.
He is one of the few players in recent times that could win us a game almost single-handedly, albeit mostly at home.
Although saying that, the way he forced a move was disgraceful and I hope he finally gets his dream move to London, via Barnet.

Problem is he might win one match then be out for the next 10 games aka Liam Lawrence, there must be a reason he's still looking for a club.

Carayol just wasn't as good in my opinion as some people on here seem to think, also don't think he is a DC type player, doesn't work hard enough off the ball

Bristol is at the centre of a nationwide motorway network and has a main station with regular services to anywhere in the country. Claims we are an out on a limb backwater are nothing more than a feeble excuse. The only backwater in Bristol is Ashton Gate and its environs. Quite clearly the reason we have been turned down in the past is because we were perceived as being Shyte, and only success and new facilities will change that.

Mark Walters? But i agree Carayol was a quality player. The question is whether he still is and i don't know the answer to that.

David Pipe, obviously. You set them up, I'll tap them in. Go on, ask me another!
