Of course its easier, I don't have to worry about the risk of signing the wrong player, but then again I don't get paid to get the right players in the door. All I can do is rate a player based on what I know and I make it my business to study a lot of lower league players, thats all, what they are like as a person or whether they would move to the West Country or what wages they want I have no idea, but you already know that. So basically trying to make out DC is a bad manager for not signing them is just nonsense, as we'll never know if he had a chance of signing them anyway. Did I say DC was a bad manager? No. Do I think DC is a bad manager? Of course not. If I were the bragging type I could have added I named Piero Mingoia as a good target before he went to Cambridge. Also scored yesterday... I bet if you looked at every clubs forum in the league you will see transfer targets where fans are recommending players they would like to see, better tell them to stop right? I mean, fancy discussing things out of your control on a forum.

It's different discussing potential targets rather than giving it something large when a couple of them score goals, as I said playing Fantasy Football is easy on a computer but our previous manager's prove it's not so easy at Rovers in real life.

Why cant I give it large when they start scoring straight away with their new teams? 3 of them scored yesterday that I said would have improved our team, how long will it take our midfield to even score 3 goals collectively? November?

November? very true,we need new midfielders badly it's not just scoring goals it's creating them too,I love DC but there is a bit of stubbornness about him and if he has got the money I don't think he would want to spend it Sometimes you got to think about the bigger picture and without spending a bit we won't attract better players,if the money is there use it it's not were average 4K home supporters every week, with a few exciting signings and winning games were get 10k + every game If I was wael I would insist and say come on DC lets strengthen that midfield else were struggle, all this what's the point of playing in the championship at the mem is rubbish,I know I would want to see it packed out every home game whilst the new stadium is being built

If Wael were to insist on buying midfielders to a successful manager might mean looking for a new manager in a couple of weeks time! I know what you mean though, midfield is our weakest area. It's boring, I know, but we have to leave it to DC to do what he does UTG!

Yeh players recruitment via the owners, that works out great normally.Fortuneately for us our owner trusts DC and we do have the input of that Will whasisname as well. Would have gone to Leeds if he wanted to work under a puppet master.

I didn't mean wael pick the player, obviously the money would have to come from him though Why wait until we are in trouble,I would rather be safe than sorry, look at Pompey struggling to get out of l2 we've had our bit of luck the last 2 seasons soon it will run out

Glad they are but your missing the point, teams take their chances in l1 and if we're losing the battle in midfield were not going to be creating many

He's offered them all the chance to prove themselves at this level and he's stuck to his word so lets reevaluate in a few weeks time instead of writing people off after one game! If they are a league below us but have spent more money then us then that only screams out poor management to me.

you are aware we have only played one game? despite Saturdays result last season v the better sides you could see a problem in midfield There has been for several seasons, in my opinion. Not good enough to protect the defence, and not good enough to create chances for the strikers.
