I will not be attending as the EFL have totally devalued the little chance of lower league clubs have of reaching Wembly. I also hope the 'B' teams reach the final to (a) get the whole country to boycott it next year and (b) to show the EFL how far out of touch they are with the clubs they are supposed to represent. Another chance for the rich to get richer.

Won't be attending any of the EFL Trophy games, neither will the other half, both daughters, father-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew & 2 mates. We are all season ticket holders (apart from my daughters) who attend every home game regardless of competition, but this shambles is the thin edge of the wedge for lower league teams.

Maybe set up a poll. I personally will only boycott any games that involve B teams. That will include the final should we and a B team get there. My view as well. The competition is poorly supported as it is, and is one of the reasons clubs voted for the trial. Personally feel we should turn up for the normal games and miss the B Teams and show what we do want As a pretty average football fan I will attend the games against the 3rd & 4th Division teams, the Football Leagues half a*sed idea that this will benefit the national team is a joke. Likely these B teams will consist of Spanish/French/Africans with a smattering of home grown players. Reality check required for those at the top would be a final between Chelski and a-n-other at Wembley, with a turn out akin to Florist Green & Grimsby. Splitters, we are the popular front for BS7

I hope any boycott is well supported. We are terrible at this sort of thing at brfc. I'm sure that people will still go citing personal reasons for attending. We will see near empty stadiums at other clubs who are far more proactive when it comes to supporters organisation.
Gary Glitter could take over our club and fans would still turn up and support rather than force him out.

So far I just see a lot of Hot Air on internet message boards.
What is The Supporters Clubs and our fans directors view?
It would be something if the SC said we should attend the normal games and boycott the B games and so the club doesn't lose out donate your entrance fee to the SC for instance

The SC and fans directors aren't going to tell you not to go to games, just like BRFC didn't yesterday when they announced prices. When did people stop thinking for themselves?

The club have reduced admission prices because they are aware of our views. Do not be tempted. Hopefully the attendances will be a lot less than last Sunday against Cheltenham.

Correct though you will get the usual " but it's only a pound a ticket for kids " or " it's the only chance I'll get to watch the gas" bollox to that ! Turn your back on the whole of this sh** competition because it's just the start , before we know it there will be premier league B teams in the lower leagues.

People can go on about boycotts all they like, but if they want to make a point someone would be better standing up and co-ordinating something.
I know the SC wouldn't say anything like that (and that is another argument for another day really) but it would be nice to hear their view point on the thing like other supporters groups at other clubs

Im not going to any of those games. The trophy needs to be a disaster to save the football league as we know it.

I've said elsewhere I won't be attending any of the games and I'll be donating my ticket cost to the Fans Forum Sponsor Club instead.
It is up to each individual to decide if they want to go or not and I'm not going to judge anyone who does go to the games.
Hopefully enough fans across the country make enough of a point for the FL & PL to sit up and take notice

I've already donated my ticket money to FFS and the Gloria Brimsham Foundation.

I'm not boycotting. Rovers playing = Rovers needing our support.
I don't agree with b teams, but there are other ways to protest without compromising the support of your team.
Does anyone know if there is a fans online petition to the EFL?

Does anyone know if there is a fans online petition to the EFL? Attending games against B/U21's teams = opening the doors for B teams enter the Football League. Simple as. This 'Rovers needing our support' and unconditional support sums up why supporters get exploited week in week out across the land and why we're viewed as passive idiots by owners and broadcasters. I'm a passionate Rovers supporter and will support the club by buying merchandise I wouldn't normally to make up for the loss of income. I won't be attending any games in this year's competition. A name on a petition will mean diddy squat if you turn up to the game and engage with the competition. To put it bluntly, anyone attending games featuring U21/B teams are jeopardising the future of the football league structure as we know it. Tempting to take my little one tbh as u16's are only £1 If you're happy for your little ones to turn up at the Mem/UWE in future to watch Stoke reserves on a Saturday at 3pm, good luck to you. Honestly believe that it would be wholly irresponsible for any lower league supporter to turn up to this trial games, no what matter price they charge. A clear statement needs to be made to the powers that and whilst missing the odd home game will be really hard for some, it's a sacrifice that needs to be made.

Rovers will lose out more - both in terms of support and finances - if the EFL Trophy is a success and U21 teams are introduced into the League.

Does anyone know if there is a fans online petition to the EFL? By attending you are not supporting , if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem! Talking with your feet is better than signing any petition , it's simple , if there are no fans there is no football , but the fat cats know that people like yourself continue to have your view on things so they continue to get away with it.

Every fan that attends is attending the big boys b team cup. a £5- 1 - 50p to get in doesn't matter its an x in the box towards b teams going in leagues.
