Well excuse me for having an opinion and my own mind That's all good, so long as you appreciate that you're effectively voting for the introduction of B teams in the lower leagues. It's really heartening to see so many people on here planning a boycott and recognising the importance of turning our back on this trial.

For those concerned that Rovers will lose out financially.... we only get 45% of the gate receipts.
Adult ticket £5. Take off VAT, £4...
45% of an adult ticket will make the club a grand total of £1.90.
As far as the team needing our support, for the sake of our league games, and my own dislike for this competition now, I hope we go out asap. Would be fantastic to see fans uniting across the country to put a big middle finger up to the Premier League, B teams, and treating smaller clubs like crap. It's a shame some want to attend anyway, but each to their own.

I'm not boycotting. Rovers playing = Rovers needing our support. I don't agree with b teams, but there are other ways to protest without compromising the support of your team. Does anyone know if there is a fans online petition to the EFL? Scab.

I'd rather be reported than a picket line breaking scab.

I'd rather be reported than a picket line breaking scab. I've stood on more picket lines over the years and fought for employees rights and lost more money in wages over the years in doing so than I care to think about or quantify. This is football and not even in the same league as the rights and welfare of workers trying to earn an honest livelihood The word scab is a gross insult. You clearly have no idea or appreciation and you're displaying your complete and utter ignorance.

As someone who was on the SC committee when Ellington HAD to be sold and the when the Sharescheme started and HAD to work, I have to turn up. (If we couldn't afford Rammell et al, we wouldn't be having this discussion now, as we would probably be in the same position as Stockport or Kiddy or even worse if club went into Administration).
I find it interesting that the EFL spokesman said it was only a trial AFTER the big prem clubs pulled out. I would guess the negative publicity even before a game has been played has been registered by the EFL and they are now (or should be) looking for a new sponsor for a compeition, only for the bottom two tiers next season. If leagues 1 and 2 voted now, I would be surprised if it was lower than 95% against the proposal.
Personally, I don't think the EFL Trophy will have any impact on a B Side league - at the end of the day money talks. If someone like Bury were £5 milion in debt and about to go bust, they are likely to vote for a B side league if they were guaranteed a lot of compensation, whoich coudl keep their club alive.
I will still be trying to sale programmes and 50/50's at all games, but can understand if people don't want to watch the Reading game. Maybe the powers that be might take notice if we have 1000 v reading and 7000 v Yeovil?
It would be interesting to see how many u-23 years olds play for the acadamies and are English. I don't think this will have any impact on the national team as if they were over 19 and good enough they would be playing for their first team anyway, so I can't see any good reasons for acadamies inclusion and hopefully the EFL wil agree.
As per a previous post if the wonderkids get kicked off the pitch, then maybe the acadamies might pull out anyway.

Not something they made up after the Prem sides were pulling out.
still a sh** idea to trial, but I get why given it is a poorly supported competition, which is why I don't get the total boycott argument.
What do people actually want to see as opposed to not just wanting B/U23 teams in the competition?
If people actually turned up for the competition in the first place, I doubt the issue of B/U23 teams would ever have come about
