Is it acceptable to go if you didn't go to the original game ? I hope this was said tongue in cheek mate and not asking for approval by the mob? It was unfortunate the original game was abandoned,and it's even more unfortunate that the Swindon chairman is a grade A arsehole but the way some posters on here are labelling decent Rovers supporters with name calling etc is bang out of order. Even worse is pressurising supporters not to watch the Rovers. The way these people beat their drums is more of a reason to do your own thing,not go with the masses.

I was away abroad so I missed the game however if I could obtain a ticket I intended going, not now, in support of my fellow Gasheads I suggest we all boycott this game just like Bolton and do not allow ourselves to be ripped off Beam back would be good.

Think if we're boycotting the game (& we should be) I can't see Swindon giving permission for a beam back. Perhaps we allow one person to go & relay it via Periscope?

I agree Swindon would not allow it, my comment was in jest. Joking aside where does this end,we need to make a stand, I am sure the club and players would agree and understand just as DC has stated his disapproval.

Anyone attending this farce of a game is really giving up the right to ever complain if this ever happens again . Wouldn't it be fantastic to see all rovers fans come together and stick two fingers up at Swindon town.

Back to the subject , I have been toying with the idea to go to Swindon again but it just feels like I'm being shafted , of course I want to support the boys but I feel there has to be a line drawn somewhere because without supporters there is no football and I think people of powers Ilk are killing the game!!!!

So to thank us for paying to stand in the rain and abandoning the match and no refunds we now can't take the same amount of fans and have to Pay £25 to sit in the stand, as they have closed the terrace to away fans for the match. How about we charge their fans £50 a ticket for the return match. Swindle you are a disgrace to football.

I know where you are coming from but this is the game of football as we know it today. QPR charged away fans £50 the other season! Some paid to support their teams,some didn't. Both are right in my mind. Its the same with Swindon. I think the chairman is bang out of order but this is one game. To pay or not to pay? I will if work allows but if this situation arose again further into the season I wouldn't do the same twice I don't think. Also,I won't be thinking about the Swindon chairman one bit on matchday,Thoughts will be all about watching the Rovers and hopefully a win.

Just a thought and a genuine question ;
1. don't we as a club take a percentage of the tickets we sell for an away game ?
2. If so, have we as a club offered a discount for those who previously went ?
obviously the second question is negated if the answer to the first one is no !

I think that the club can charge a 5% admin fee to Swindon for the away tickets they sell.

Don't think we should be charging more for Swindon fans at the match at the mem, if you look at their forums - many of their fans are as watered off as us with this situation - and I guess they have to deal with this chairman on lots of other crap as well. If anything I'd like us to offer ours and Swindon fans a reduction on the home match at the mem, on presentation of the abandoned swindon away ticket stub - I know its not our place to do this but it would show our club well to others in the football world, and send the right message in this era of fans being stuffed.

Punishing Swindon fans is the wrong approach, missing the point completely.
People like Power get their downfall eventually, so I'm not too worried about 'revenge'. Football is historically littered with blokes like him, and they never last that long.

How about we charge their fans £50 a ticket for the return match. Swindle you are a disgrace to football. I am not sure you are entirely correct on the "closure" issue. 1 The "terrace" as you say is in fact an all seated stand. Secondly reading the Swindon forums they say that the club only offers the same situation for any away team. Only once the covered area is near or close to selling out does the other area become available to clubs, to close that for availability they would have to get EFL approval for offering less than 10% to the away club.
