Why do people keep banging on about the feasibility study and feel negative. In any project of this size it is essential. Why wasn't it done at outset asks Sirpercy? Simples. Until you know what you are getting how can you possibly evaluate it. It doesn't matter if it's for Wael or potential investors, it still needs doing. The best result by far as this now means the negotiations are pretty much done, we know what we can buy, and/or retain, and NOW we will see if it's viable not only from a building scenario, but if it will be profitable from the point of view of what the stadium can generate from non football issues. This whole issue is now coming to a head, and I'd like to think we will get the final decision within the next month or so. You are right Gasincider I did ask that. Do you think this will be the first feasibility study Wael has done? Not imo. I know one needs doing regards what the renegotiating entails but previous ones would have revealed what income streams would need to be negotiated for everything to add up for Rovers. Where do you think Wael gets his starting point from? As for people interpreting myself as being negative nothing could be further from the truth, but that is just this place for you!! By the way,it's nice to hear you are finally positive towards Wael and Co.

I personally think it's time to stop 'looking' for negatives for a while, as yet there is no reason to not trust Wael so we need to take what he says as true. We can sometimes be guilty of believing our own thoughts , looking for conspiracy theories and it leads to us over analysing things we've been told. I realise we've had a decade of wishy washy statements but the feel good factor at our club these last few months is something I haven't experienced since 1990 so let's enjoy it a little, at the same time remembering where we could have been had the Al-Quadis not decided to invest their time and money in us. UTG If somebody told me this time last year, what our current position is, i would say keep of the mushrooms mate ! It obvious to me that this bloke lives for football and i trust him with the governance of our club. As an aside, do you think the Jordanian FA have anything to do with the funding of our new level 2 academy ?. They could send promising youngsters for an English style Education and we could benefit with better facilities and the pick of these youngsters The cost to purchase and setup/staff this new facility cannot be cheap (just look how much other championship clubs spend) and i wonder if some of this funding is coming from the Jordan FA... just a thought, no evidence of this i'm convinced hiis mate Prince Ali is in the background

being reported this morning that large earth moving equipment on the UWE site ............ There is indeed but I think that is more reinforcements to the entrance where the travelling community gained access but I would love to be wrong... For what it's worth, after last night I am feeling a lot more confident the UWE Stadium will go ahead. I was starting to have my doubts with how quiet everything had gone but any project of this scale and new people coming on board was never going to be quick and easy. Wael allegedly said last night they are our diggers, What if; They are our diggers and are protecting the site from the travelling community, the only reason our diggers would be doing that would be if we had purchased the freehold............anyone know how to check the title of the land ??

Maybe not, but it makes money which finances the football club and not the other way around. Walsalls ground doesn't in fact generate a profit. Where they make money is from the two giant adverts in their car park and atop their covered end which can be read by everyone passing by on the motorway. Last year for instance it was confirmed the two adverts generated over £2.5m. Semantics. Ok, the seats which you sit on don't make a profit but the stadium facilities which are used 7 days a week and the surrounding land makes them profitable.

I really wouldn't worry about the feasibility study they always come up with the answers thar the commissioning party want. Before applying for planning permission city came up with 2 one that said Ashton Vale was absolutely the only possible site in Bristol and one that said Ashton Vale would support 1500 (or it may even have been 2500) permanent jobs. Hopefully ours will be looking at the most profitable use of the bits of the stadium that isn't covered in grass or seats. A lot of that space in the NH plan seemed to be teaching space.

We'd only get Sports Franchise ads on it:

Then again the UWE perhaps have just said if you want the land cleared up would you mind doing it as a favour, as if NH hadn't messed us about for years something would have built on the land by now?

So it seems with the confirming of the uwe site as the place the stadium will happen ,the initial size being 21,700 and stating a new 29acre site will be in use by March pretty much says all systems are go. Feasibility....obviously a final agreement has been agreed in principle and a feasibility study to confirm everything is ok for all parties is needed. Once this is completed and hopefully given the thumbs up the building phase will start. The very fact the academy/training centre/pitches are now going to be in use by March shows the stadium complex is going ahead ,there would be no point in the big investment otherwise.
Possible Timescale........six months....training facilities/pitches in use...........one year academy facilities in process .........two years academy fully running.......two and half years....stadium opens .......ten years stadium capacity increase.

What I liked about last night was Wael said that we did not need to rely on the sale of the Mem to build the new stadium as funding was already in place .I also ask him jokingly if Gasheads could get discounted holidays in Jordon And he said i dont see why not.He comes across as a top man.... even some of my sheed mates...who i give stick regularly commented how nice he is....utg
