I see they're having something of a wankfest over on One Turd. It seems they have forgotten Radio Bristol dedicate a whole hour to their club on a Monday evening. Having a dump I think it's called. You would have thought they would have been more interested in discussing that, rather than a Gas orientated programme, The lengths some people will go to to prove they're not obsessed, eh? Christ alive,I wouldn't even know if there was a programme on telly about the sh** let alone watch the thing.

Well, that was a decent enough programme. I doubt it would have revealed anything new to any of us, only affirmed our view of Wael as one of the good guys in football. As publicity for the Gas I think it's a good bit of exposure, though I doubt the viewing figures for Inside Out West are very substantial.
It would have been good to find out more about the family business, Wael's relationships with Prince Ali and FIFA and the Jordanian football league system - why do players not develop beyond their teens!?
I guess we will have to find out for ourselves next preseason!

Did I imagine it but I am pretty sure Wael's brother said goodnight Eileen, and he had a Chelski air freshener hanging from his mirror. I think he should apologise and sell the club back to NH immediately.
But in all seriousness I am glad he chose our club, he comes across as a very amiable and approachable man, if he want's to have a beer out in Nailsea I would be more than happy to pay for it.

As far as at a great cost to the Jordan FA does anybody know whether they can actually afford to invest in our academy/overseas, or it that just another wild rumour like Wael being a billionaire, given that Jordan hardly looks that wealthy a country?

The program really annoyed me at the start, by saying "Rovers have always been in their arch rival's shadow, Bristol City"
SINCE WHEN?! Ok, the last 4-5 years they have pulled away from us, but the other 100+ years, very little between the clubs. Local media is so poor!

Scholarships from the Jordan FA will be no problem, just look at the number of chinese scholars we have in our high end schools

he did indeed say goodnight Eileen.... however, he can't be accused of being the first person to get Leadbelly and dexys midnight runners all muddled up.... it is after all an easy mistake to make

Maybe i'm, getting cynical in my old age but, apart from showing us what we already know that Wael and his family seem to be a decent lot. I can't help but feel the interviewer had a jolly at the licence payers expense.
Was there anything in that program that could not have been asked at the Mem when his family attends ?

Just maybe the BBC was "invited" by our Social Media Dept to do a programme about the family and paid for by the family... they did stay at one of his hotels and they did fly into one of there Airports...

I was a little bit disappointed with the show, I must admit. As many have said, it didn't really give us anything new - other than Wael firmly nipping in the bud the "billionaire" tag (which I guessed wasn't true anyway), and I now know Jordan isn't really a holiday destination for the family!

Yeah, especially as he started the report in tourist hotspot Petra which is 150 miles from Amman.

Quick question Topper, how many spiders is the average human thought to swallow during sleep each year?
