It's kind of like we've gone on dragon's den and won investment from that above-average looking brunette. She's no Peter Jones, but she's still got a head on those shoulders and with her connections can make it work. Well, if we're gonna get screwed, I'd rather get screwed by the above-average looking brunette.

Wael strikes me as an honest, humble type not given to "larging" it and if I'm told he's got enough, that's good enough for me. UTG!

PLUS that Rooney is a rampant sh*thead. (Gullable is not in the dictionary, Topper Gas) Gullible or not, unfortunately all what he has to say is backed up by info readily available on the internet. Let's see what the feasibility study brings, but Wael seems to be a millionaire rather than a billionaire. You will never know the results of that because it has feck all to do with you

It may only be small steps at the moment, but it's better than going backwards, and I for one are not going to sweat over how many 000's he has on his bank balance.
Try having a positive outlook on football for once, you might enjoy it!!

A number of respected posters on the IF have tried to reassure you, a number of respected posters on here have tried to reassure you. Looking at this from another way, what level evidence would you be looking for? Genuine question.

What concerned me from the programme was that Jordan shares a border with Syria and Iraq, both affected by the presence of ISIS. Imagine having the likes of ISIS in Scotland. If ISIS decided to invade Jordan it could have an indirect adverse effect on our Club.

I love our club, but I'm not sure Bristol Rovers would be the correct thing to be worrying about in such a scenario!

I include the Al Qadi family as our Club and I will decide what is correct for me to worry about thanks.

Some evidence Wael can actually fund the stadium build, it's clear Pantsdown could for the 82er's but there's no apparent evidence in the public domain Wael can. All other posters say is trust the guy as he sounds honest, whilst he clearly does, that's hardly evidence?

Can we Trust you with the Evidence ? Its obvious you don't trust him

Guys - their shareholding doesn't tell anything like the whole story. They could be sat on another huge pile of old money for all we know, and they are paid dividends from that shareholding. I would wager these guys are better capitalised than the old guard

Maths has never been my favourite subject, but if Wael's bank acquired a business for a sum in excess of a $1 bill, how can it be worth (according to info on this thread) under £300 mill? Hopefully we'll receive positive news about the stadium in the next couple of weeks and we'll no longer need to speculate or worry about Wael's credit rating!

I think the 1.2 Bill is the banking assets of the bank (ie other people's money), not how much it is worth. But, my point was that if it can acquire a bank like that then that is "...evidence Wael can actually fund the stadium build..." which was what Topper was asking. Although, to be fair, as soon as I go above sums of about £150, I'm out of my depth.

As long as he doesn't throw it about like it's confetti or spunk it up the wall that will be a move forward!

AJIB simply increased thier market capitalisation by 50m to 150m, Rooney 's claiming that means it cost them 50m to get 1.2B of customers deposits, I've no idea if he's right or wrong but AJIB do seem to be making profits of around £25m. Perhaps somebody who is "only" a millionaire fits in better with Gasheads anyway, and as JTS says hopefully he appreciates it can't afford to throw money around .
