"We didn't score enough goals" I would like to thank the BOD for working tirelessly throughout the summer to find the root of the problems at the football club. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28865180

Absolutely pathetic. The outcome of the top down review is we didnt score enough !!! Wtf . Even if that was the only thing wrong at the club (which it isn't) a review does not just say what went wrong it says how it can be put right. What about the debt? , bad budgetting, number of managers, poor commercial performene, poor merchandise, communication with the fans, the forum, the terrible recruitment, the injuries, the 3 year contracts, the indiscipline ? I cant believe it, absolutely gutted.

I am glad the review has been completed now and we can all move on.
Seriously though, I read the article and couldnt find anywhere where it mentioned the review or lack of goals??

I guess the 'significant' investment that got 'very close' in the summer was the goy who ended up buying Oxford?

Ras its in the video interview above. He was asked about releasing the internal review and he said they have done it and basically we were relegated because we didn't score enough goals. The board were not at fault.

I feel for our strikers, I really do. It's not like they are missing chances or not getting on the end of good crosses. They are being starved of service.

Didn't Brian say it was in process?

Didn't Brian say it was in process? No Brian said its for Nick to release it. The directors have said it is done. Ras its not that simple is it ?. Whilst not scoring enough goals is an issue what about all the other issues leading to our footballing and financial demise ? For me the two main reasons for being relegated twice are 1. Player recruitment. We dont have scouts. We used to have one of the best scouts in the game but he was made redundant. We now rely on agents and manager contacts. When a manager goes our player recruitment research goes. We have been successfull on the back of our recruitment both locally and nationally. We now sign injured players on 3 year deals. 2. Finance. We have sleepwalked into massive debt by always budgeting £500000 - £750000 more a year then our anticipated revenue. NH likes to talk about little external debt which is great from a administration risk point of view but when you owe £5-£6m to your directors you still have to pay it back. It also reduces the opportunities for new investors who wont want to pay it. back. We also don't bring in anywhere near enough revenue that we could. Merchandise needs improving as does entertainment pre and post matches. It all helps. Anyway, they promised a review, they didn't deliver it, I hope i'm not alone in thinking that is very bad news.

Anyone other than DC disagree with that?

Maybe Higgs thought a top down review was just a regular review with his shirt off?
Come to think about it, that would explain a lot.
