Must admit that I have assumed somewhat in saying the Boardroom. Perhaps I should have said top table. Not got used to the number of new people and their status. Let's say top table(s). If what I heard was true, and it seems to be so far, Cunnah seems to have disappeared. But as someone said, given his role I don't think he is needed any longer, after all we must be paying out a fortune to the consultants. Given the new definition, possibly two more may go, What worries me is that it seems a mini power battle may be ensuing involving a rugby man from North of Bristol. Hope not, as it's football people we need. But no worries about Wael who is the best thing to happen to us for a while. Well done for breaking the news but I don't really get what's happening now as how can there be a "power battle" when Weal & his family own 92% of the club, assuming the family haven't fallen out amongst themselves, then it would be one hell of a battle to have a battle for power with somebody with such a large company holding? It all seems a bit odd the two experts brought into deal with the UWE project seem to have left now, particularly when Wael said they would make the UWE announcement! As the feasibility study killed the UWE as far as Wael's concerned hence an outsider know want's a piece of the action before it's dead, is the rugby man a Merchant Venturer by chance? There's never a dull moment at the Gas!

Has Cunnah 'left' or just not being utilised as such?
of course the poitive spin would be Mr Atkins has left as UWE is closer and needs more attention than he can currently five with his other business.
All i hear is whispers of rumours and/or speculation on an internet forum and peopl doing 2+2 equals 5
Damn us getting new gates

If so, any idea what he's going on about because I can't make head nor tail of anything he's saying.

So presumably uwe are insisting on a seat on the board then, but the al qadis own 92% of the club, doubt he will have any power but surely a serious conflict of interest if he's involved with the rugby club.

Something like that I guess. Not sure why the uwe would want someone with little power on our board - guess we'll find out though.

So we will have someone on uwes board? Yes, but not only that - an ex Bristol Sport director (resigned on 7th Oct). He's got money, and if I'm translating Bert's gibberish correctly, he wants part ownership of the uwe stadium.

Merchants venturers looks like a lunatic fringe of the masons, and booy appears to be a shithead and rugby nut. Please no.

Although the page linked above states he is a uwe govenor, he isn't listed on the uwe site as such. He clearly was at some point though because his name appears on the BOG meeting minutes as an attendee.

So for years and years we've been secretly funded by the Merchant Venturers to support the faith in the Blue side of the city against the evil forces of Red, without any declaration of the investment in the mandatory accounts, and now someone who is a Governor at the UWE has resigned from the Bristol Sport board. Following this, the Brothers want to declare war on the invaders from the Middle East who have stolen the power base and unleashed dark forces.
In other news, Bilbo Baggins still has hairy feet and Gollum has just found The One Ring.

Seems BT is inferring now the that ALQ's want out and the UWE are going to finance the stadium with us being simply tenants, although if that's the case why is Wael messing about trying to get pp for a training ground? I assumed it would be ex Rovers player from the MV's merchantventurers.com/about-us/membership/john-laycock/ ?
