While I didn't go today it sounded like once again watering around with it at the back rather than getting rid has cost us dearly. I don't think there's enough confidence in the side to play out from the back currently. We just need to get at sides.

Roos and Lockyer have clearly lost their form, but not their ability. It's a bad run, albeit a very bad one. Every side has one. It's up to DC to sort it out if he can, and I have faith in him, tinkering or not. Amazing that we're still just 2 points off the playoffs after the last 4 games.

Well, in the pub a mile from the ground and will need a few to lift the depression. We utterly dominated that game for the first 20 mins and could have been out of sight yet as seems to always happen at the moment the first meaningful attack the opposition have and its in our net! In the end we probably had 3 times as many attempts on goal as they did yet we somehow lose, and lose to a pretty poor team at that. Defence and keeper are our problems. Both need to be addressed in Jan or it will be a battle to just stay up. Our team has done fantastically well to get us to this level but league 1 is a step too far for some of them and now the momentum of promotion has died down its obvious to see. Over to the Board now. Honeymoon period over. What are you going to do about investment in the team? What are you going to do about our ramshackle ground? Next two months will tell us what they are all about. So why do the attack, who couldn't score in 20 minutes of utter domination, escape any criticism?

Yeah I think we are a much better side when we take the game to the opposition and attack. When we sit deep and let sides control the game we always seem to end up chasing it. Examples are Chelsea , Bolton , Charlton . When we set out on the front foot and go at teams we're just so much better. We played expansive attacking football in both run ins in the last two seasons and I think that worked because it suits the players we've got.

I didn't go but the BBC stats indicate that we certainly attacked. We had 7/8 conference promotees today and are doing ok. If we score 2 goals away for the rest of the season we'll pick up plenty of points.

From the highlights gaffney made the first and cost us the equaliser by poking his leg out and not winning the ball, second goal was bad defending and the third was a good free kick Our third was a miss hit shot by Ellis and good finish by billy, billy needs more time on pitch even if he is not on form he's skillfull and a natural finisher

www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/bristol-rovers/10673756/chesterfield-3-2-bristol-roversThe theme for goals conceded seems to be generally range shots from just outside the box into the top corner and headed efforts not being cleared properly from the box following crosses and corners. Seems to be crosses coming in from Lee brown's end of the box. Perhaps we should persist with wingers for a bit and get Browner and Leadbitter sitting further back instead of consistently joining the attack. Great goal from Hartley but his presence in the box to nick that goal is possibly linked to us conceding so many goals as it was a god send this afternoon. As for defending corners just needs a lot of attention in training.

why can't boateng get a run of games in our midfield? You look at the 4 playing today and it is average at best. DC desperately needs to sort out the midfield, changes every game, questionable what is our strongest midfield at the moment but it can't help defenders. People keep blaming the defense, are a they all really that bad I am not sure, its the midfield is all over the place. Think you're being too negative about our midfield. The 4 in midfield have had a good season so far. Boating is also good, surprised he hasn't played more. The thing is he isn't our player so maybe DC is only using him as cover for when players need rest.

We scored after 3 minutes and scored twice away from home which isn't too bad is it? . If you are going to have a pop mate at least get your facts right and maybe make the effort to go yourself!

That is a poor result!! So have the recent home games been too. A few weeks ago we would have just been brushing aside teams like these especially bottom of the table. We need to sort it quickly We're we ever brushing teams aside? We had to come from behind so many times to get our points. We're still conceding first but now we aren't coming back like we were. We've got to stop conceding the first goal. We didn't concede the first goal today we scored in 3 mins and were killing them for first ten But so we can't defend a lead either? the first goal by Chesterfield was soft as puppy sh** and we lost all momentum this team has run its course, the spine is the conference side and we have hit a hard wall of reality in L1 stsy behind the team in Dec and pray for some strong new blood as an aside I quite like the fact the proact stadium is a tidy little ground in an urban environment they've pulled off a blinder there

People moan including myself because don't want to see us relegated losing to likes of Chesterfield, Bury and so on...

We would all like to see the speedy progress, from the previous two seasons, if we finish mid table at the end I will be more than pleased, let's just reflect on how far we have come under Darrell, let's not forget it was only a short time ago we were playing Eastleigh away on a night match.

2 years ago I remember going to Braintree away after a shocking start to the season and watching us lose. It was the worst moment I have experienced as a Rovers supporter in 42 years of watching them. I remember looking round at the ramshackle ground after watching a totally inept performance and thinking I couldn't believe that we had sunk so low and that we were sinking into oblivion. 2 years and 2 promotions later we are just outside the playoffs in league one. What Clarke has achieved since then is a minor miracle in my eyes.

I remember there was an area of wasteland behind the away terrace, and I spent more of the second half staring morosely out over that, than I did the garbage taking place out on the pitch. The lowest point in my time watching Rovers.

But that's not going to keep up in Div 1 this season, nobody on this thread is saying DC is clueless etc what fans are concerned about is the fact we're losing games and shipping goals, letting in, 3, 4 & 5 goals in 3 of our last 4 games is a big concern.
