Last shirt I bought was the 07/08 offering and I think I ended up with an XXL despite being considerable smaller than I am now. I'm about 6'2 and a smidge over 17 stone so if anyone with this season's kit is of a comparable size/stature and can let me know what size they've got I'd be most grateful.

I just bought long sleeve home and away shirts from PL (half price too good to ignore). I am usually a medium, but large is what I bought and they fit me nicely. What ever size you are you'll need to go up one size (maybe more).

Long sleeved football shirts are f**king ridiculous. Yup, any player asking for a long sleeved shirt should be fined, sent on loan to Eastleigh and given a douche for their fanny.

I kind of have 2 problems with long sleeved shirts, on and off the pitch. On it, yes, masculinity, much the same as soft lads wearing gloves....no need for it, you are running around ffs, if you are cold playing footy you obviously aren't putting enough effort in. Of the pitch, they just look plain silly especially if you wear with jeans. Best bet would be to go full kit w**ker as at least everything will match.

Tin hat firmly on , here goes ...... In my opinion I don't think anyone over the age of 12 should be sporting a replica shirt ! A training top would be as far as I go but a replica shirt it's a no from me.

An inch taller and a stone heavier and it was a 4XL this year, normally a 2XL
