Just realised mcburnley is Swansea. I would put money on a Taylor Mcburney swap with some cash. I wonder how much. I doubt Swansea would want Taylor as he is not good enough for the step up to the premier league. I would definitely make an offer for mcburnie though, he's got lots of potential and would do well in L1 if his U21 goal scoring record is anything to go by.

I guess the new Swansea manager might have a say in who they sign?

James McKeown not in Grimsby team under their new manager, a good keeper at the right age and with experience might be worth consideration. UTG!

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Grimsby these days since the playoff final, so I've followed their fortunes since. Mckeown was dropped after a series of poor performances, he's not had a good season so far, so I wouldn't have thought he'd be the reliable keeper we need.

Yes you are right I've read that as well but keepers do have bad runs like all other players and he has been consistently good for a number of seasons so I still think he would be a good fit for us. And I guess there must be a reason he's not in their team. Perhaps he's had a few bad games but that doesn't stop him being a very good keeper after several years of good performances.

Yep fair comment although previous seasons were at Conference level, so it's hard to say. If he had proven his quality in L2 as well, rather than flopping so far, I'd definitely agree with you that he'd be a great signing.

Fair comment but to say he's flopping is a tad harsh. Like I said I think he's a good goalie who I would imagine DC knows a lot about! And I suspect there will be a lot who have a similar opinion to you. I've thought for two and a half years that he's a good goalie and I still do I guess a few bad games don't necessarily change my mind but you're right he probably wouldn't be universally popular. I guess we will know in about a months time! UTG!

If we're talking Grimsby players however, even though I'm sure he'll go to the Championship (he's good enough) I'd love us to sign Omar Bogle. Won't happen, but he is a real class act. Pace, power, skill, fires shots off from anywhere. Quality player who I have a hunch will play at the top level one day.

Why would Swansea give us cash plus McBurnie for Taylor when they could just give us the same cash any other club would give us?
Not that I wouldn't be pleased to see him back.

How much is their owner worth?
Simeon Akinola [Braintree - Barnet] £40,000*
Ricardo Almeida Santos [Peterborough - Barnet] £100,000*

As for goalkeepers, we are looking at Paul Jones - Norwich and Etheridge - Walsall

Plymouth fans seem to think they are signing Nathan Blissett!
I think McBurnie would be just as potent as Matty Taylor in this league, and potentially could be a lot better. No chance of signing him though imo.
