I've just been told our budget for Jan window!! Shocking £400,000 and funnily enough that's what we made from the Chelsea game??? Full backing from the board my arse? And I was told off one of the main staff... Can see us getting much for that unless we sell taylor but still can't see us buying what we need we that...

The only person who knows what the budget is is DC.

Just a third hand rumour ( someone tells your guy, your guy tells you and you tell us) but even if true it's still more than our managers have had available in recent years - no one at the club has promised big money signings and wages have to be added to any fees so fees of £400k can often be doubled once additions to wages budget are taken into account. We probably just earmarked several million for the new training ground on top of that so I think that's reasonable support from the owners at this this level.

Considering the current infrastructure of the club, we aren't really in a position to even be considering throwing silly money around to go up, so 400k sounds like a nice bit of money to help DC start prepping his squad ready for next year.
Well done Wael and I look forward to seeing who DC can bring in over the next month.

To be honest I was expecting not much more than a few piffling loan signings, so I'd be chuffed with £400k if that were to materialise!

I was told we are going to smash our transfer record to sign Omar Bogle from Grimsby, but like everything I hear about Rovers I'll believe it when I see it.

£400k would be amazing. Don't forget our record signing Andy Tilson cost £370k. You could get a decent full back and goalkeeper for that.

If we spent 400k on a couple of players I'd be happy with that, or if that is meant as 400k added to the wage budget then that's actually a large amount! Either way that would be ok, imagine if we picked up a couple of decent free transfers a good loan and 400k on 1 quality player.. I'd be impressed with that tbh

I'm really surprised at how many fans thinks we'll be chucking loads of money at the club.
Wael and Darrell have both always said it will be a careful approach to improving the club and this is the right way about it. But if the right player is available we can look at it.
People who think we'll be spending millions are miles off the mark!

The amount available is all academic. If the players Darrel needs aren't available in January then he waits till the summer with added funds. Hopefully he will get who he needs, even if the players are on loan till the end of the season but, either way,a keeper and midfield general are a must.

Get a grip.
DC knows he's struggled with the goalkeeping position & centre half and will do the best he can in the window.
Not sure what else we can expect. We are back where we wanted to be and doing ok. Some stability is OK after a double promotion.
