I have to say that I totally agree with you on that. i read an extract from pirlo the italian stars autobiography,he said he "hated pre-match warm ups with every fibre of his body,in fact it disgusted him" he called it "masturbation for fitness coaches at players expense" i look at rovers pre-match and half time and we seem to be grossly over staffed in the player warm up department, blokes trying to look busy putting a few extra cones or discs out,i know this is the new rovers but its a bit of a farce to my eyes. Pirlo is one of the last of the great lazy fuckers, though. Doubt there will be many more along in that mould.

Weird how a thread about Nathan Missit's move to Arevile has become a chance to bash Gosling.
Can't see the chap being here for much longer, but he's not a bad player just too slight.

£15,000 up front further £15,000 based on appearances = £30,000 - probably about right. Bliss much more experienced than their 'Ted loanee Arnold Garita who has been leading the line for Argyle recently. I know it might sound crazy but, did we have a sell on clause? If he's gone for money, it could be the case that we are due some. Anybody know, if so how much? lol. My source told me last night we will be getting more than what City got for their sell-on-clause for Bolasie.

Although I doubt we'd have got a lot from the initial £15K anyway!

That's exactly what it is. Sean North anyone? That's a great quote! Cricket commentators were saying the same kind of thing (without masturbation references!) this morning on bt sport - that the warm up routines were basically a competetive exercise for the fitness coaches to see how 'zany' they could make the warm ups and to see how creative they could be in the usage of cones. Michael Vaughan described the experience for the players as like 'being in the playground at school but without the smiles!'

I might not be right but I rarely see DC helping with the warm up so I presume he doesn't. I don't expect him to as I never see other managers doing it. Our warm ups are a hundred times better than they were 10 years ago. Don't know if anyone remembers what they were like under managers before PT. And to be honest the best warm ups I saw were when PT was in charge. He took them and for the first time ever it looked as if they had a purpose and there was never any doubt he was in charge which was good to see then. I guess they are a necessary piece of pre-match fitness. I can just imagine the posts if we didn't and players were picking up strains and pulled muscles because they weren't properly prepared! UTG!

Here is the best warm up by any player ever. Take a bow John Burridge...

Great character was John Burridge had more clubs than Tiger Woods. If everyone did warms ups like that managers would be having heart attacks before the match even started!! UTG!

Been confirmed they paid £15,000 for him. Confirmed by who? Undisclosed as Football league regs by Plymouth and Torquay. Your source is obviously another ITK! Plymouth have stated its the first time they have paid a fee for a player since Cowan Hall. An absolutely glowing reference from the Torquay manager about Bliss on their website, well worth a read. Good luck to Bliss I say, I expect to see him next season when we play Argyle hopefully in League one.

Don't know why but it's always irked me when certain players f**k about in the warm up and don't take it seriously before a game. Trotting about, messing around, more interested in pointing people out in the crowd and not getting focussed. Gosling was always one of those players. But he did do the business at the end of last season by making telling contributions as sub in the last two matches. I don't think he'll play much more, if at all, but I will always be thankful for his contribution and give him the respect he deserves because of it. And at 23 he could still improve and have a very good career. For his sake I hope he does. Started the move that led to the promotion-sealing goal. I've always liked Goz, but have to admit he still has a lot to prove.

Maybe they were not supposed to say the price, maybe they are wrong. Just quoted what I read lol

I hope he does well. Really nice bloke. I remember when he played against us he looked dangerous I was happy when we signed him. Sadly it didn't work out that doesn't mean it won't with another team. Good Luck to him.

Came on today in 89th minute as sub and had his first shot saved and pushed out by the keeper. The rebound was put in the net for their 4th goal.
