What utter sh*t......your comments and your condesending match reports are an embarrassment!!! So back to back promotion and 4 points off play off in Div 1 equates to short term success.....wtf are you on about........and more to the point, what does DC need to do to satisfy you, win the premiership??!! Well said , 100 % agree with you ( for a change ! ) lol 😉 Not sure what you are arguing against Tinner.Where does he say two promotions and our current position equates to short term success? If you dont like his reports why read them? And why have you not been reminded to attack the post not the poster? And by the way are you the foul mouthed git I keep hearing in the Vic? Coz you seem to want to be on here. Oakbourne, I thought you were more discerning. You to have agreed something that Steve simply did not say.

Tinner excepted I respect the opinions of everybody who has participated in this thread whether or not they agree with me - If you are happy with constant changing then fine. I don't think we have seen the best of a lot of players because of DC's methods I will repeat for those who only seem able to pick out my criticisms of DC- He gets results and over the seasons his methods have on most occasions worked but I just feel that players when they do play well deserve to keep their place and I ask people just to think - How many of our players have cemented a place in the side?

I suggest you read his comments again, he quotes most signings as only short term success.....now how can that be true if we have got double promotion, unless promotion was only down to 2-3 players??? I never attacked the post, I merely attacked his comments, which of course he is entitled to......but I am sick of hearing people moaning and finding fault, when actually things are as good as they have been for a number of years!! And no, I do not go to the Vic!

I have just had enough of all the DC bashing that's been on here lately , I honestly don't know what people expect anymore , the bloke has lead us to 10th in league after back to back promotions yet he's still not trusted by some on here. He's not going to get everything right and everyone has a right to question and criticise. It seems that panic mode has set in because boateng and colkett have both gone back to their respective clubs , we don't know the reasons behind it , we may have other options lined up , who knows ? We're only a few days into the transfer window and yet again there are complaints by posters that DC hasn't acted quickly enough , how the f**k do we know what's going on in the back ground, from day one the owners made it perfectly clear that the cash wouldn't be thrown around and we would be building things from the bottom upwards (like it should be done). This place is just full of doom merchants at the moment for no reason , it's almost as if people have already forgotten how sh** the past 10 years have been, perhaps we've just been treated to too much success the last two years and now our supporters have become impatient and more demanding. Let's just see what happens. No disrespect to anyone , I'm just sick to the back teeth of page after page of constant unjust criticism!

So despite getting b2b promotions, you do not believe we have seen the best of his players.........on the contrary I believe DC's management style has got the most out of his players, and our achievements surely prove this. In an early thread you say he has not developed the players...............when watching the Coventry game 8 of the team were 'good players' in the conference, those same 8 are now 'good players' in Div 1, so surely that is further proof that they have developed, and that must, in part, be down to DC's management! I asked you earlier what you would deem as success.......any answer, or are you one of those who will always look to find fault?

This is evident by the snidey little swipes you throw in when you do a 'match report' after a win and the way you pick fault with everything when we lose. Its plain you don't like the bloke, fair enough. Plenty never will because of the relegation, weird I know, but what that man has achieved in such a short space of time under the circumstances is what dreams are made of. As for the constant changes I put this down to him overthinking this simple game of ours and actually trying to protect the players whilst overthinking the opponents and what may happen. Buggered if I know really but plausible. Anyhow, I don't agree with all DC does by the way but will take everything into consideration before poisoning the bloke because of the ineptitude of the people he puts his trust in.

Funny how people can say the players DC has brought in haven't really delivered. Almost every player in one way or another has helped contribute to two successive promotions. It just goes to show that nothing will ever be good enough for some people. Only the other day Steve you were telling us that DC is unable to improve players. Talk about taking your credibility and then p*ssing all over it. I' say the summer signings haven't been that good. Roberts, James no good. Colkett & Roos good starts but then lost their way. Boatang has very good qualities but didn't get a goal nor an assist ?? Salty - very promising - hopefully back soon. Hartley - mixed bag - great he's got 6 , but he was signed to improve us at the back - prob done so marginally - but we need a taller , more mobile CB, don't we ? We hopefully will get better in Jan and the Summer.

Sir Percy and tinner, Firstly I have NEVER held DC liable for our relegation. That IMO was entirely due to one John Ward. As regards Darrells match results I have never critised the results he has got or the fact he always goes for a win ie a draw is not good enough. That's fine. I can only report as I see the game and as I believe the game should be played. I like a straight 4-4-2 formation and I firmly believe in if a player plays well then that player should play next game- sorry but that's how I see the game right or wrong. I accept that the game is about results and so far DC's record is pretty fantastic and I couldn't or wouldn't name a better Manager for us however because he is a fantastic Manager he has weaknesses as has any manager. His I believe is I am not entirely convinced as regards his signings both permanent and loanand my reason is purely on the fact that other than Lockyer,Lee Brown and Matty Taylor nobody has really tied down a place and personally I think the inconsistences are down to continually being dropped or left out even after good performances. Anyway enough from me as that is my opinion and everyone is entitled to that.

The fact is it doesn't look very likely that he is going to get much in the way of funds to get players now. Most of DC's signings success is short term in number of good games and how much is down to the players not being good enough and how much is down to DC failing to give them a run of games we will never know. Quite a few have come with good pedigree and yet failed to get a regular place. Only Lockyer, Lee Brown, Sinclair and Taylor can really go down as regulars this season but our reasonable position is really down to Taylor and the rest of the squad playing some good games on an irregular basis due to the "rotation"! system. Lee Brown and Lockyer have both failed to reach last seasons standards. What utter sh*t......your comments and your condesending match reports are an embarrassment!!! So back to back promotion and 4 points off play off in Div 1 equates to short term success.....wtf are you on about........and more to the point, what does DC need to do to satisfy you, win the premiership??!! That would do for a while, but a defeat against Bayern Munich in the group stage the following season just wouldn't do.

I think you're view about 'rotation' is a fair view. I do not share it as I believe that if anything- rotation keeps everyone motivated and improves morale. However I disagree with with the implication that DC drops players that are 'playing well'. If they are playing well they usually do retain their place. The issue is 'well' means different to everyone and someone always loses their mind when one of their players gets dropped/ rested. Moreover, towards the end of last season when we were on our charge, the line up was very consistent. Too much is made of the 'rotation.' Finally, his signings have generally been fantastic! The reason why a couple are struggling now is that we're 2 divisions above where we signed them from: Take Gaffney- he's currently battling to find his feet in this division, but he was a fanastic signing. His addition took us from midtable to third. Yes, he can't hold down a place ATM- but what a great signing. Let's be honnest- a better keeper and we're 6 points better off (my opinion, minimum). We'd be in the playoffs- which would be a crazy achievement this year.

And I think a week with 3 games- there's some logic to freshening it up. It's not unheard of. To be honest- as he said perhaps he should have changed more. Lockyer had a mare and now hartleys injured.
