I said last week I'd heard he'd left at the same time as the Director, Lee Atkins, and Currah disappeared, nobody has found anything to suggest he's still at the club.

Have we? As if we have he's keeping a v. low profile lately. What did you think would happen? Dubey to give interviews once a month and DC to accredit him with all the signings rovers make? He's a data analyst of course he is going to have a low profile. But what about our goalkeeping coach, doesn't say much for his involvement.

Can't say fairer than that. I do like how brutally honest he is.

So he isn't being given money by the board then.
I can't see how anything he says there backs up the claim he is being financially supported.
All a bit odd this to me.

His Twitter and LinkedIn still say his job is performance analyst for Bristol Rovers. He might not have updated, but I assumed he was the one that got the keeper on trial for us, seeing as though he used to work for Mainz. Might have just been a coincidence.

Certainly mixed messages on budgets...one minute he's thanking Board for their support and saying he has funds to add to the squad now, a few weeks later, his defense is that he has a bottom 8 budget...if he's spent upto the wages cap as Hamer suggested then it's hardly surprising there is no money. Surely DC knew this at start of transfer window and so why did he start building expectations about signings?

Or, we could shout from the roof tops...................We have loads of cash to splash, up your selling prices and wage demands, we can afford, anything !

Plus if money is tight surely his wages are better spent on a CH/CM anyway? As regards the other poster saying there's no point saying we have money, the permanent signings since our promotion suggest DC's doesn't have a lot of cash to spend.

Hamer hinted that we were near our FFP limit. Bit weird then if we have bottom 8 budget but top 8 crowds (near enough, anyway). We must be really bad at earning revenue elsewhere.

Hamer hinted that we were near our FFP limit. Bit weird then if we have bottom 8 budget but top 8 crowds (near enough, anyway). We must be really bad at earning revenue elsewhere. Also makes you wonder why we didn't take advantage of the "sponsorship" loophole (i.e. the Jordanian bank [or simimilar]) simply sponsors our shirts for £50 million (tongue firmly in cheek). Furthermore, what is likely to drastically change within the next 2-3 years that would see investment close enough to allow for a top-6 budget? I.e. if we're not going to take advantage of the aforementioned loophole (or similar), then how exactly do we expect to raise the revenue to a level high enough to take our budget in-line with a budget realistic enough to match our aspirations? Certainly our crowds won't rise enough to make up anywhere near enough the shortfall and there's only so much extra revenue we could make through our current facilities. Even IF the new ground gets the go ahead, this would probably be at least a few years off. Makes the 3 year Championship ambition look pretty unrealistic from where I'm sitting; I'd say at least 5 years (or 2 to 3 years from which the new stadium is built [should it eventually happen]).

Also makes you wonder how much we're paying Matty T?!
And another reason to get a few earners off the payroll asap, in Easter, MM and Lawrence

Isn't it simply a case of either DC or SH are not being totally honest or, if they are, the latter can't run a football club properly if he can't turn a top 8 attendance into a top 10 turnover, as our ticket prices are hardly the cheapest in Div 1.
Although I've no idea what releasing Easter & co now has got to do with Championship football, as virtually all of us expected them to be released this summer.

Why would he be at our games, if he's still our player requirement analyst, then surely he would be watching potential targets and analysing their performance?? We have enough of our staff watching our games. So you are just guessing he's no longer with us???

If he's the club performance analyst then shouldn't he be watching his own club's players perform.
