There is a post on OTIB from a resident f**k-tard which sums them up nicely; "I couldn't give a stuff what the gas think. When they were on the verge of dropping into the conference (a couple of times) they did absolutely nothing. No protests. Nothing. They stood there with their thumbs up their asses and let it happen thinking they were too big to go down. Never, ever held the club to account. Jokers. I'll say this for city fans: we don't put up with sh**. Some may go about displaying there displeasure in the wrong way, but if we feel things are going wrong we stand up. It's something that should be applauded (as long as its not vicious) in my opinion" They stand up, oh no they dont! They don't attend, as for his statement that the players are backing him thats BS. I know for a fact (inside knowledge) that the Club Captain has been questioning his decisions for a while and that the caraven dweller is having extra-marital affairs (not long after getting married). Makes I larf, shower of inbred drongos. I am sure the Director of Foootball will throw a few more million on players barely anyone has heard of; to prop up the stunted one (or undermine him). Bring on the other bunch of inbreds this weekend - UTG

This is why I really can't understand all the moaning on here. If someone told me the day we went down to the conference that within 2 1/2 seasons we would be a top 10 L1 side I would never have believed them and would have snatched their hand off. If you'd then told me that people would actually moan about it I'd have said, no way, we would all be overjoyed. When the inconceivable has actually happened there are people on here who still are not happy. Some football fans really are unbelievable. Utterly, utterly superb post.

It's the nature of the beast im afraid, its no longer all about taking part but all about winning (unless you are Arsene Wenger) However well a club has done previously, as soon as there is a blip (and a major one in the example) fans will grumble. I think the teds have illusions of grandeur a lot more than any gashead will ever have, therefore we would take struggling at our level a lot more than they do.This statement shows support of the manager but most teds want him gone; so no matter what else he said, that is not going to go down well in BS3 (err, I mean BS7) I would've agreed with this a lot more before this season than I do now. The amount of people grumbling about DC this season after a few defeats away from home means we are not all that different. It has shocked me tbh considering we are sitting in 10th place in the league after two promotions on the trot. I used to think gasheads were better than that, now I'm not so sure. UTG!

They're brilliant aren't they eh? Just when you think you're having a bad day, feeling a bit miserable, they pop up left right and centre with this kind of thing. The little mingers.

I think its the manner of the defeats that are the issue currently, we aren't playing well, the opposition don't have to play very well, and we are getting beat quite comfortably every other game.
You look at any forum in the league when their team are in a slump, its pretty much the same if not worse, and reflects more on the average football fan of today rather than Rovers in particular.
As long as its done on the forum and not at the game I don't see a problem.

I thought we got pretty angry when we were relegated, didn't have my thumb up my own bum to my recollection...
Also, this sounds like Higgs before we dropped out of league 1

The reality is that had we not sneaked promotion last season, and were up round the top in div 2 this season, then all the moaners would be happy. Instead, we are at least 15 places above this and people are moaning!!!

Well done Hugo, what I've always said esp the bit about two and a half years ago... sums it up pretty well. Have always that Wael and DCs biggest challenge was satisfying fans' expectations. UTG!

Problem is life doesn't stand still and most people want to progress in life, when Wael bought the club he made it clear he was going to deliver the new stadium and the intention was to be the next Swansea/Bournemouth, which could only mean his aim was Premiership football, DC's talk for most of the season about a top 6 finish and that Wael always backing him in the transfer market. Now suddenly it seems DC's settled for a mid table finish whilst suggesting he only has a bottom 8 budget plus SH isn't prepared to give any real assurances the UWE will be built and we don't seem to have a Plan B if it isn't. If NH was still in charge and we were struggling with the wonga loan most of us would be content with a mid table finish but Wael changed the landscape when he bought the club and possibly raised our expectations too high, hence why some of us now get cheesed off when we spend time & money going to away games just to see football just as bad as it was under the previous management.

Explain how (minimum) 2 promotions in 3 seasons and a new training ground just round the corner is standing still?

It's one thing giving a manager time, it's another when you lose 8 games in a row. If they were up there on a shoestring and/or Little Lee had joined them off the back some of a promotion or two at another club (ie. some success), you could possibly argue that he should get a bit more time. But the likelyhood is that he is an average manager at best, and his nice guy personality isn't really what that squad needs when things are going as badly as they are. The championship is one tough cookie, people should remember that before getting so upset that we are trying to build before going for it gung ho. The money being thrown about is rediculous. I have been a bit suprised about how long it has taken them to get on his back, and haven't been booing the team off. For once, and until now with the dwarf banners, they have come across better than selection of our fans that are rediculously questioning DC's position. I remember a thread a few months ago on there where they expressed relief that they had gone for a young hungry manager like Lee rather than someone like Warnock. Would love to dig that up

I don't doubt that he will deliver on anything he has said. But its not going to happen overnight. We've just had successive promotions, to expect another one immediately is asking a bit much don't you think? I think the thing with Wael is that he is wise with his investments and doesn't want to go spending stupid money on things like Lansdown does with no return (which also happens to suit DC's management style). And by that I don't mean that I think he sees this as an investment that he wants to make a profit on, because I do believe that he cares greatly about the club. But I think he will want value for money on every investment he makes. Hence why he hasn't rushed to a decision on the stadium, and hence why he isn't spending inflated fees or salaries on players. That doesn't mean the money isn't there or he isn't willing to spend it, it just means he isn't willing to blow it up the wall and fair play to him, I wouldn't want to do that with my money either. Give him time and I believe he will deliver. UTG!
