LJ couldn't lace DC management shoes. Not achieved anything really in comparison. It would be frightening to see what DC could do with the same budget... then again he probably wouldn't spend anything.

As I write, 24 out of 30 voters have said they would think the owner was right or partly write to make the statement.
Very noble, but I don't believe for a second it would be like that if we actually did go on such a disastrous run.
Having won 5 and lost 5, or close to, the common themes cropping up are that DC has lost the plot on the pitch and in the transfer market, the players are just not up to the job, the owner is not providing DC with any funds, the Chairman is covering things up about the stadium. Long gone are those happy days when mid-table in L1 would be more than ample reward for the magnificent support from the fans.
Lose 8 on the trot and slip from 5th to 20th, and the forum would be like Chernobyl, but hotter and more unstable. A statement like that would be as welcome as a burka at a Trump fancy dress party.

I'm talking about a little while after he was appointed when the sun was shining on their results...

Explain how (minimum) 2 promotions in 3 seasons and a new training ground just round the corner is standing still? Wael can;t take any credit for the 1st promotion and not the full credit for the last one, however, I was referring to where we were before Christmas to where we appear to be going for the rest of the season, then it was talk of Play Off/better quality players, now it's mid table and releasing players, perhaps Wael bet all his money on Clinton and lost as it's odd how quick things have changed, the way the players played in our last 3 away games sums everything up. As far as the training ground my big concern is how we are going to fund it if it doesn't produced Fleetwood type returns if we are now strapped for cash, does SH realise Hortham Lane is a nightmare to get to for most Bristolians? UWE's is in the perfect location www1.uwe.ac.uk/about/departmentsandservices/professionalservices/centreforsport/facilities/astropitch.aspx Regardless having a nice training ground isn't going to make our match day experience any better.

Why would we need to go there? Games will be played at The Mem, UWE, or wherever, not at Hortham Lane. Not sure how many players actually live in Bristol, but don't think it's very many.

Even if WAQ does nothing else we are still better off than we were 2 years ago! Imo the deal we were about to do with UWE was not good for the club and I'm glad we are not going ahead with it as it was. Furthermore more I don't actually care who gets the credit for the progress we have had so far, DC, WAQ, Players or even Higgs! We have made more progress up the football pyramid than any other club in the last 2 years!! As for his supposed millions, WAQ has never said he has money and has never made any promises about spending big. Quite the opposite in fact.

There is a post on OTIB from a resident f**k-tard which sums them up nicely; "I couldn't give a stuff what the gas think. When they were on the verge of dropping into the conference (a couple of times) they did absolutely nothing. No protests. Nothing. They stood there with their thumbs up their asses and let it happen thinking they were too big to go down. Never, ever held the club to account. Jokers. I'll say this for city fans: we don't put up with sh**. Some may go about displaying there displeasure in the wrong way, but if we feel things are going wrong we stand up. It's something that should be applauded (as long as its not vicious) in my opinion" This is why I chose Rovers to support 60 years ago. C**y fans are still the same 60 years on and so am I, proud to be a Gashead.

I thought we got pretty angry when we were relegated, didn't have my thumb up my own bum to my recollection... Also, this sounds like Higgs before we dropped out of league 1 You can't recall? They all say that. I didn't say it wasn't up a bum....

Its weird about lansdown as he always seems to make bad decisions on manager appointments,to my way of thinking the obvious man for city was warnock. imo they would be in the play-off mix had they appointed him but i think hes too big a personality for lansdown to handle, thank god!

If the shoe were on the other foot and DC was under pressure as much as LJ I would still back him. We haven't seen a run of defeats to test the faith in DC yet, but it will happen at some point. You must be joking? Every season we have hit a wobble and people start with the ridiculous suggestions! If we had a run half as bad as them I guarantee that there would be a super melt. Our behaviour as supporters on social media is not so different.

The question is, where does standing up, hanging bedsheets, spitting on your manager or hanging cardboard signs outside your shrine get you? It doesn't stop the team from getting a raw hiding week in week out. In fact it probably makes some of the club's staff think you are a collective bunch of imbeciles.
