That was after a game in August, what happened after that as he only played a few more games for them? Not sure if these are potentially good signings for the future, or just cheap inexperienced players DC got in for now to shore up our dodgy defence! At least he looks more experienced than Sweeney.

Sounds like a pretty good signing to me. Lists his strengths as his physical presence and ability to play the ball out from the back, two boxes people have been wanting us to tick with new defensive signings. Hungry for first team games and got a decent pedigree by the sounds of it. And a permanent signing too. Well done DC.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention his "reckless" challenge as you seem to enjoy putting a negative spin on everything 😉

Happy with this signing, a young player looking to establish himself in the game and prepared to drop down a couple of leagues to get playing time.
Big, strong centre half who likes to play the ball out of defence is exactly what we need, hopefully between Jonny, Partington and Tommy Locks we have got 3 good young defenders who can hopefully be here for a few years and move us forward.
Welcome to the club Jonny.

A day after Burn's night, we sign Burn. Is it a special day today as could be a clue to our next signing? Is there a player out there somewhere called Pancake? That made me laugh out loud... ... Chinese lad, Panhi Cak-Son-Li

Interesting thread by a Boro fan collating comments about loan players including Burns loan at Oldham. oneboro.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=7561Burn seems to have a lot of potential and he played a number of good games at League 1 level with a couple of mistakes and inconsistency which can be expected of a young player.

Looks a good signing. DC always signs players with the right attitude. A combination of a player being young and having a good attitude normally means they make vast improvements and reach their full potential so I have faith in Burn to be one of those.
Any indication of whether or not we paid a fee or the length of contract? UTG!

Well that was a shame we didn't sign him yesterday. Jonny Burns on Burns night! Welcome to the club Jonny and good luck from all the Gas family.

Well we certainly have the numbers in central defence now, let's hope these newbies will make a difference! Seems like a good signing, can't complain when we sign players from prem teams really. Who's the first choice pairing then?
Lockyer Clarke Sweeney Hartley Burn Clarke-Salter Partington 7 (when fit) playing for 2 (or 3 if we go back down that road) places..

Just over 6FT.
Same height as Big Pete Hartley.

Legend already!
Burn began his career with the Sunderland academy before joining Middlesbrough in March 2013.[3] He joined League One side Oldham Athletic on loan in August 2015.[4] Burn made his professional debut on 9 August 2015 in a 1–1 draw away at Bristol City. He managed to score with his first touch from 42 yards out.[5]

Just over 6FT. Same height as Big Pete Hartley. I was hoping for a couple of more inches...oh well, never mind.
