Wonder if they will announce something tommorow to soften the blow of MT being sold ?

As this was being discussed at a gathering I attended this morning, I don't suppose it will do any harm now in confirming something I heard about on Saturday. The defining meeting will be taking place this week between UWE and Al Qadis father, who flew in a few days ago. So, subject to the decision being made public, I guess we don't have to wait much longer to find out if we will ever get our much needed new stadium. Was told the same on a Friday though it was this week or next when I was told.

Either way it will lead to progress, I'm sick of this 'maybe' rut we seem to be stuck in

If it is true can only hope for good news, but I am not holding my breath on this one. Have been told that Mr AQ snr would consider pulling out of BRFC if UWE falls through. Know that could only be yet ANOTHER rumour, but it may be a worry.

I think we all need Toppers take on this before this thread proceeds ? Same rumour I'd heard but I was told it was main man at the UWE meeting Mr A-Ql not his side kick who'd apparently dealt with all the negotiations up to now, if true, this really makes a mockery of what SH was saying last week about talks progressing well, as clearly only nobody really knows which way this meeting one will go when we're apparently millions apart. I'd also heard Mr Al-Q wasn't too pleased how this had been handled by Wael and wanted it sorted one way or the other, as the other poster says if a reasonable deal can't be agreed he's likely to put the club up for sale hence why there's no Plan B. I guess the timing is interesting as the contract on the training ground isn't due to be exchanged until the 3 Feb....... I can't see us making any big signings now in January until this issue is resolved one way or the other, I just hope we can hold onto MT.

Perhaps they are meeting because talks HAVE progressed really well and are to iron out a few last little details and shake hands on the deal.

Let's not forget it is not Wael who owns the club, but the family. Wael is just the guy who fronts them up. If there are contracts to be signed etc, then I assume they would be signed by the Head Honcho.

Know that could only be yet ANOTHER rumour, but it may be a worry. The rumour seems to be building from a meeting with UWE to the AQ family pulling out....I don't know what to believe, surely someone must know... I've gone from optimistic to a feeling it's all doomed in a couple of posts.

My take on it , IF Wael's dad is flying over for a meeting with UWE it's unlikely imo that he'd be coming over not to sign a deal.

Indeed why would you bother First off, take a rumour. Then make an assumption based on the rumour. Then, apply an assumption on the initial assumption, and hey presto you've got....um.....well, just a load of borrux really !
