So our Chairman does' not take into consideration that other teams keeping a close eye on our top scorer may have had some impact on why others have been scoring when he has not?

Even with Taylor here, it seemed we were thinking long term and looking to strengthen for a renewed challenge over the summer. With him going on deadline day, would a last minute desperation move for a striker, paying over the odds, really do us any favours? Better value in the summer and a big chunk of the wage bill. We might just be in better shape than we think. I agree that we shouldn't have just got any striker at the last minute. We shiuld however have been more prepared for it, we also needed another CM and have generally shown a lack of ambitiin this window. Hamer saying we are going for the playoffs is just rubbing it in for me as it seems obvious that we aren't strong enough for a playoff push with what we have. Get in Sheff Weds winning!!

Biggest disappointment I think is the lack of replacement, temporary or otherwise.
James should get a run in the team now I think, or just Harrison-Gaffney.
Some positive off the field news next month would be good, much needed too.

We might just be in better shape than we think. Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. I'm starting to think MT was on even more wedge than previously thought. We might see some of the other strikers step their game up now. This is where we have to be "faithful and true", get behind the squad and trust that DC knows what he's doing. Let's be fair, he's not done badly up until now. Weirdly I'm almost more excited for what comes next now.

Wow, some murky crystal balls being fired up tonight, that comment about being weaker is tosh in my opinion, we've bought in a some decent defenders, I'm disappointed about Taylor leaving, but was never fully convinced, his attitude didn't seem 100% and the little bit of smugness in the sheeety picture kinda confirms that for me. I think we can do ok with what we've git and there's always emergency loans to cover injuries.

Taylor wasn't just a goal scorer his all round play was good When he could be bothered and remembered the basics of the offside rules.

Some positive off the field news next month would be good, much needed too. Yes some new owners with money behind them and some clue about football hopefully. 2 options: We take it easy this transfer window which is disappointing now, but we hear some news about the ground in a couple of weeks and the club progresses over the course of a few seasons We get our easy fix but they turn out to be sh** signings we need to waste money on offloading and we go back into our relegation cycle in 2 or 3 seasons? Which do you pick? 'Cause I'd rather the former. I'm massively disappointed with what's happened with Taylor but there was absolutely nothing anyone at Rovers (apart from the shithead elect himself) could have done. We've got four signings in this window which look like talented young players with potential. Fair, 2 of them are loans but what we've seen of those so far they look like they can do business.

Just a few points.
Training ground is going ahead but we have not exchanged contracts. That will be done at the same time as completion on Friday.
Totally agree with not spending large sums on players in this window. But why not decent profile loans up to the summer?
McChrystal has apparently left to join Notts County. I believe Lawrence has been paid up.
My biggest worry or two are as follows? SH said he was surprised that we got the bid after the game on Saturday. That is either incompetence, but I don't believe it was, or MT didn't want to risk it getting out prior to the game on Saturday, because he would have needed a police escort from the ground.
The other? Where is DC? Should we get his photo put on milk bottles? The answer I'm afraid is .......... no never mind.

Better value in the summer and a big chunk of the wage bill. We might just be in better shape than we think. Completely agree. I'm sure I'm in the minority but I'm pretty relaxed about the lack of signings today. We've addressed our real issue during Jan with the defensive signings and as our chairman quite rightly points out goals haven't been the problem. Id much rather we give our current strikers a chance to prove themselves than panic buy a dud.

What an over-reaction by most, especially GGMI. As the bloke said, Taylor only scored 4 of our last 20. Scoring has not been a problem for us, it's keeping them out the other end. We have recruited at that end and there's no reason why we can't still push on. The bloke is a knob, fact. Attack the post and not the poster! I'm sure GGMI isn't really a knob.

Steve Hamer who represents the owners and everything they should stand for has just shown a complete lack of understanding of what Bristol Rovers are about and what are relationship with sh!t is like and what it means to the supporters. Looking incredibly weak after this Month unless we can turn it around with some BIG news.
