Agreed. Some of the over-reactions tonight have been totally ridiculous with people writing off our own soddin team, calling out our owner and calling our chairman a knob and a prick. Well done, cause if City do lose tonight this place sure will cheer them all up when they read it (and they will). 90% of the comments today have given them EXACTLY what Mr Lansdown wanted and some on here just sat up like lapdogs and gave them it. Embarrassing. Absolutely spot on Sir Alan. It has cost SL a reported 300k (pocket change to him) to turn us against our owners and send us into turmoil. We're a few points off a play-off spot. We are not a one man team. Let's get behind the owners, manager and players - an unprecedented 3rd promotion is in our own hands - let's try and make history! Luckily most gas are not made up of members of this forum.

I do think we are short now up front. our options don't fill me with confidence i can't remember last time gaffeney scored, don't believe James has scored, granted he hasn't played often, though what I've seen he's been average at best. James looked decent at Walsall, limited opportunities. Him or Harrison need to be given a proper run now.

And the award for over reaction of the day goes to... Seriously, today has been a kick in the nads, and I would have been disappointed to see MT leave for anybody, let alone to them. He must realise how much abuse he's going to get now. If he doesn't he's going to have a rude awakening! However, we need to stand tall and not let the news today get us down to the point of meltdown and making ourselves look stupid. I'd agree with all that apart from id have shook his hand and wished him every bit of luck if he'd gone ANYWHERE but the sh** now he's just a Judas taking the lazy way out by not even moving house ........ but that will change soon , he can get a three up three down hovel in bS3

Taylor had a release clause, we couldn't stop his sale. Give them more time on the ground. This week we could own our own training ground for the first time in a long time - in the majority of my lifetime at least if not all of it. It's Darrell who doesn't want to spend and he's right if it's not going to be the right decision in the long run. Who the hell do you think gave that Fool a release clause in his contract? WE did! After the snake spent all summer watering about training on his own etc he came back to us after no other interest signed on a decent wage which WE offerd and then his agent put a release clause in that contract which we accepted.

I haven't turned against our owners, what a ridiculous thing to say. we all thought we were home and dry after the weekend, there had been no approach s for any of our players and it seemed to be plain sailing with perhaps a couple of new additions. it has been reported that the bearded little twat has the same agent as the bearded little twat. I don't think it's a coincidence that a late bid was made for the bearded little twat. That was a considered move by those Tnucs south of the river to cause the maximum damage to us. The common denominator in all of this, the agent, clearly set it up. That greedy little twat, aka the snake, took the money and put his middle finger up to us. He knew he was potentially leaving us in the lurch, but he screwed us over anyway. There was nothing the owners could have done. We had to comply with Taylor and his agent in August or he would have gone to Oxford. He reneged on a hand shake with their manager. At the time I thought it was just sour grapes on Appletons part, but it seems he is an unprincipled little sh** and I hope his career stagnates in the cess pit and he's never heard of again. poisonous little sh** head snake.

Maybe you haven't turned against the owners. It's not a ridiculous thing to say though. I've seen a fair few comments in the last hour or two that suggests they are under question.

I've never been a fan of his before all this that happened today. The hand shake with Lee brown after he scored against Oxford at the mem showed what sort of bloke he is.

I still cannot believe we never tried for Ollie Watkins, he has more potential than judas and would have been a quality addition.

If finances are not a problem then I would urge DC to act now to secure Billy Bodin's future with Bristol Rovers. We all need to recognise just what degree of football skill Billy has. Festering over todays events does no good whatsoever and only serves to demean us. So please lets make this forum a sh** FREE ZONE.

Why is everyone jumping on the bandwagon with this £300k figure? Because the chimp tweeted it? As everyone was saying earlier, I'm sure he would've left before today if that was actually the release fee. Because no other figure has come out people are taking it as gospel.
For all we know we may have got £2m+ for him and that money may be enough to secure the uwe deal. Why not wait until the end of the week to see if there's any positive news? This may go from being one of the worst weeks in recent history to one of the best ever. Have a bit of patience. UTG!

Agreed Notts the fee is undisclosed so quite how anyone 'knows' it was £300k is beyond me. I can't believe for 300k only the 82ers would have been interested.

There's a signing being announced on Thursday, I have spoken to Wael on Instagram and said a new player will be announced on a permanent deal and it's not a forward

Are you sure he wasn't talking in riddles and meant the training ground or uwe agreement being signed? That's what I picked up from what people were saying earlier.
