Landsdown is a Lady Garden. I hope this is just the start of his nose being continually rubbed in sh**. As Hugo says, he is a smug, rosy faced twat. It does roll off the tongue, I'm imagining shirts with #rosyfacedtwat printed on them.

I have always found it quite surprising for someone of Steve Letdown's wealth and standing that he has proven to be so extraordinarily petty and parochial when it comes to all things Rovers. Even more so given that by all accounts he really didn't give a sh** about Rovers or City to any great extent prior to the commencement of his evil sports empire. You have to wonder if something has happened to cause this.
Unfortunately given that he has virtually bottomless pockets and the angrier he gets the more he seems to spend it's going to be pretty hard to match and exceed what they can do financially. Realistically we will have to rely on good management and decision making to take us past them. And the fact that we actually have a club with a soul.
It's just a bit hard to believe that they can keep f**king it up for another 15 years when they're spraying around this much money. I mean is it really possible to maintain that level of incompetence in your football dealings when you're so successful outside the world of football?

I agree the next step has to be the stadium if we're going to keep progressing but as someone said on here the other day footballers spend 90% of their time training and only 10% playing so they want good facilities and this will help us attract better players and produce better players. Also if your injured do you want Physio in a metal container on the side of a field or in a top gym with top equipment. All these things matter massively to footballers. I also like our shed and of all the grounds I've been to in league 1 and league 2 we create a better atmosphere at the Mem other than anyone other than probably Pompey and that's a bit of a shed too only 8000 bigger. [ I like the Mem too, but you can see why it's not an immediate selling point to potential players. However, it's a Mecca for the level of player we are currently attracting so maybe it is adequate!! We also had the second best home record out of the 92 in 2016 and lets face it we are Dam great at the Mem and have been mostly in our time there. The dark days at the bottom half of league 2 were mainly down to water poor away form even our relegation season saw us mid table in the home league table. I'll miss it when we do finally leave just like I missed Twerton and all the times good and bad there. We need the uwe to progress as a club through revenue but purely from a supporters point of view I love standing on a terrace and I love how having an old fashioned ground with a good atmosphere spurs on our team and brings the Rovers spirit to the pitch it's all I've ever known. I wonder if we would have had that amazing record and won those promotions if we had moved to our new stadium we'll never know but it just feels to me like we wouldn't have. That's in the past and I really hope we do get our new ground and I think it's only a matter of time how much time I don't know but every time i go to the Mem bite into my pasty and cheer on the Gas I do look around and think about how much I love standing on that terrace it holds 4000 and we make more noise than any other stand in the lower leagues I'll miss it regardless of water poor toilets and santas grotto I guess those things just don't matter that much to me. When your in a football ground your there to support your team and watch the football not admire the architecture, it's sbout the players passion and the supporters passion everything else doesn't matter to me as long as everyone is giving it 100%.

He's a financial fat cat without a Dam clue how to run a football club he's certainly not the first and he won't be the last there's plenty of them around with money and no idea , plenty about without money and lots of ideas and everything in between.

Very positive about new training ground. Does anyone have any idea about the usual area of a training ground/academy? Could not find much information on a quick google search but 28 acres seems small compared to that of the training grounds of the championship clubs where details were quoted.

Excellent news at the end of a very disappointing week, very well done to all the Gas hierarchy for pulling off this massive step in our history! UWE next please! in Wael & DC we trust. Mind the gap Mr Pantsdown all the money you've wasted and we are now right on your coat tails and reigning you in all the time! Nobody will be talking about Bristol Rovers anymore? Well said rosy cheeks that statement alone showed what a complete lady garden you are! UTG.

Great news. Better than any signing and a real show of intent from the owners. Confident that the uwe will come off as what's the point in a level 2 academy producing players to play at our shed! I agree the next step has to be the stadium if we're going to keep progressing but as someone said on here the other day footballers spend 90% of their time training and only 10% playing so they want good facilities and this will help us attract better players and produce better players. Edit .. I've just put the Wigan v sheff weds game on and the stadium is half empty and sounds like it's a friendly. I do want the UWE but I'm going to saviour every moment of the thatchers end until the day I leave for the last time UTG. If you were brave/daft enough to watch the Judas goes for a medical video on the city site you might notice they were doing the tests in a portacabin type building. I was quite surprised ,it was well kept and new looking but a low ceiling clad grey box none the less. Nice real buildings and facilities would be good at the colony not like the Failand campsite.
Is this the biggest single investment in Bristol rovers history so far ?
Great news and another step along the way to BRFC being a well run championship club in the future

They are in the relegation zone and it was a Friday night game on Sky. Why savour the thatchers end? It's not very good you know!
