To all forum members and guests I want to apologise for some of my recent posts on here which have been stupid and unessessary critical of Dc and others i have been suffering a lot of depression lately and have just lost my dad (another gashead gone to dream with Irene) and have been upsetting those closest to me and my loved family which includes the gas army , my wife mother and daughter have all taken my wrath so it is about time I said sorry to all utg Midland all part of the grieving process, I lost my Dad last March he was 90 and a lifetime time gashead although he was a great age it was still hard as we went to games together, then in July my 63 year old brother collapsed can died which was a massive shock as he was very fit, true to say I am just getting to live with it now and I have had times of being a miserable b.stard, what I know is that you don't realise you down until months later when you reflect later, anger etc all part of the process. The first stage of learning to cope is recognising how you feel and you have done that.I stopped going to games for a while but have been going for the last few months and it's really helped as we are the "ultimate " therapy !!! Keep posting as everyone on here are your extended family take care Clive

Midland, and anyone else who suffers or has a nearest and dearest who suffers. For what it is worth I am a trained hypnotherapist, its not a cure for anything but can help people deal with these problems.
I don't advertise or charge any fees I am happy to give my time and therapy to anyone genuinely in need, free of charge I have always done this and very happy to do it for anyone in the gashead family just PM me.

Midland You are not alone. So many people with mental health problems. The first step is to acknowledge it and get help. Those around you that are true friends and love you for being you will still be there at the end. Those that slip away were not worth your friendship in the first place. I'm sure that there are many on here that can help, because many have been through it. I've only had those around me suffer (maybe it's me!)and it's worth remembering those affected as well. Head up, deep breath, and take every offer of help you can lay your hands on.

All the best and thanks for being so honest. Many of us on here have experienced problems, I've walked the black dog myself and sometimes by proxy. I suspect that I will too tomorrow (funeral to attend) and will no doubt dip in here for some light relief.
With regards to bereavement, would a Roll of Honour be helpful? I was thinking that short obituaries could be left as a reminder of Gasheads no longer with us and it may help with the grieving process.

Sorry to hear of your loss Midland, and I'm sure that your family understand where your anger is coming from. You've taken a big step with your post on here, and I can only echo the advice given by others. You're certainly not alone in this, and I hope that you will find some comfort on support via the forum, as I have done myself.
Take care.

Thanks staffs I live in Shrewsbury after moving from brum last year You lived in Birmingham? Jeez, no wonder you were depressed Hugo, could have been worse he could have been a "Stokie" a Yam Yam or a Dingle (I served with two Units from the Midlands and they tend to give each other gyp depending on their location). As Lenny Henry would say - "Dudlie"
