I can see the future. Next season we are top of League 1 at Christmas with our new improved squad. DC is poached by Wolves. Holloway is sacked by QPR since they sit in 19th place in the Championship. Wael wants a seasoned manager who understands the club and has experience at a higher level, preferably even Premier League. im still having flashbacks to last time ollie had us top at christmas, all went abit tits up i recall 4 points clear with 10 games to go

Also don't forget the legend that was/is Steve Parmenter, although I don't think he ever made an appearance for QPR. Yes, and also Matty Lockwood who was signed the same season...a useful left back released by Holloway I recall as he wanted a bit more money. Went on to have a good career at Orient.

Jesus christ dont remind me about Matty Lockwood. Awful player, went on to be half decent for Leyton Orient but terrible for us. I remember going to Carlisle one game and we lost 3-1, Lockwood turned in the worst full back performance ive ever seen.

We should get the cheque book out and try and sign him. in the summer based on his recent performances. Also QPR may consider selling him as he is their 3rd choice goalkeeper.

4 points clear with 10 games to go Finished on 80pts,playoffs most seasons with that aswell. If memory serves me correct we W1 D3 L6 of those last 10 games. The only team we beat was the sh**. Particularly remember the bad tempered 3-3 draw at home to Stoke and being 1-0 up at Blackpool only to manage to lose that game 2-1.

Quote taken from Saturday's player ratings analysis courtesy of I Voted For Kodos:
"Both Sweeney and Lumley have scored above 7 for their last six matches. Only once has a player gone on a longer uninterrupted run. Parkes did so for eight consecutive games in the Conference (from Nuneaton away to Gateshead away). Lockyer went for 12 games in a row at the end of last season but did miss two games in that run on international duty. McChrystal, Brown and Lockyer are the other players to have six-game runs while Trotman, Mansell and Roos all went on five-game runs."
Interesting to see that Roos had a similar run of form to Lumley's which I'm assuming was when he first signed for us. I seem to remember people having a lot of praise for Roos after he'd played a few games for us but people's opinions of him soon changed. Just shows that you can't be too quick to judge a player, and also shows how fickle us fans are. UTG!

Judging from the radio (i.e. I couldn't go) he could have got a campfire started in his goal and cooked a sausage sarnie. We were all over them like a Feltham rash.

Quite a lot of connections with QPR - Francis, Holloway, Penrice, Yates, White, Channing, Tilson, Meaker, Brown and the midfielder who played under Ward in his first stint whose name escapes me. Loved the old Loftus Road Ground and remember seeing the Gas loose 3-1 in the late sixties with Dave Stone missing a penalty with Rovers 1 up...Jim Langley made no mistake when QPR were awarded a penalty a few minutes later. You can also throw Trevor Challis, Alvin Bubb,Ross Wears, Bradley Allen,Bobby Zamora and Jamie Cureton into the mix who have played for both clubs. And who can forget our very own Left Back hero Lee Brown.

Anybody know when was the last time we played QPR in a competitive game ? I've been supporting over 30 years and I don't remember a Rovers QPR game.
