I'm a huge mansell fan I couldn't understand his under usage earlier in the season.
BUT! This OC has developed into a fine player. Had he not resigned in the summer there wouldn't have been to many gutted. But wow- he's coming into his grove. No longer- a kid this probably had to be his season and it is.
1 up top works well for us.

He has developed into a fantastic player, we sat in front of his family and Stuart Sinclair's mum and dad at Oxford. Very proud people who must be so pleased for there offspring!! Bedfordshire is a long way to come. They said Stu lives in stroud with Rob his brother (FGR)

Must admit, I had my doubts if he would be able to make the step up this season and I can happily say he's proven me wrong.
He's come on leaps and bounds this year and his partnership with CL in the middle looks really solid!

Way back in non league I thought he would never really make it. So glad to be proved wrong. Also didn't think The Beard would be good enough for this level. What the * do I know eh?

Under normal circumstances I wonder if they would be good enough. However, you have to take into account the Darrell Clarke factor. what a coach and manager. I believe he could make Alchemy a viable scientific fact. Were so lucky to have him. Wael, double his salary and sign him up for 5 years!

From the start with DC we have not necessarily had great individuals but he has made them a team

Was doubtful OC could make the step up to L1 at the start of the season but boy has he proved me wrong.
He's matured into a bloody brilliant midfielder at this level.
His all-round game has come on so much and he's one of the first names on the team sheet for me now.

Another example of how the side is developing and improving as we progress. It is amazing how far these players have come and how well they have adapted. I don't think I we have ever had such a hardworking squad.

There were lots that thought that. But DC has shown his patience when he thinks a player has something. SS was always a good choice but OC might not have got the chance with a different club or manager. The success we've had meant that whilst he was not an automatic choice DC was able to be patient and OD has paid him back in spades. Because he was Bristol born I reckon he got a bit more time than others might have got. Whatever, it's great to see him playing so well. UTG!

Every now and again over the last 4 or 5 years Ollie has weighed in with a good performance. Unfortunately in many games he just wasn't up to the required standard. Nice guy that he is, I personally didn't believe he could be any better than an average League 2 squad player. Sometimes you can be wrong but it feels good!
Ollie's recent form has been excellent and I'm genuinely very pleased he's made the step up. Must now be one of the first names on the team sheet and I'm fast becoming one of his biggest fans. Keep it up Ollie, you are doing the shirt proud.

Ollie went through this - 1st minute of the interview helps sum up how far he and the team have come.
Imagine how much our relegation winning team would be enhanced by the Ollie we have now.

I'll be one of the first to admit that at the start of the season I was writing him and sincs off but I was massively wrong, they've progressed so well over the course of the season.
Byron Moore seems to have been stepping up over the last few games as well, which means we can be a bit more flexible with our attacking players.
The formation were using at the moment seems to be extremely effective with the players we have. Does well to compensate for the lack of a goal scorer up front.

He used to drift out of games when he should have got stuck in but I think one of the reasons for that was John Wards style of play. Ward liked his midfielders to sit so deep and cover the gaps but Olly has got fire in his belly he wants to slide tackle get up and shoot or make a pass not drift around covering gaps. Under Clarke he's grown in confidence and technique. I think Olly is a similar kind of player now to what DC was and the perfect partner for Lines and Sinclair.

Easily the most improved player this season, and plenty have improved, and at this point I'd give him player of the season.

Top bloke, great progress. Another "one of our own" - will be bestow that honour on him I wonder? Would be nice wouldn't it. What makes this so great to me is the way he now works with Sincs in a way didn't work with Lines but is now an awesome threesome. Goosebumps sums it up, nice words Ollie!
