"There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
Oscar Wilde, whilst watching us in 2014.
DC has transformed us from a bunch of no-hopers relegated to the Conference to a club threatening to get us into the Championship in a few months. With a bit of a reputation, a massive away following, and total respect and fear when playing us.
All done with no money and a crap stadium.
How the feck did he manage all that?

This is going to backfire and be carnage all the pis spots are going to the pubs outside the ground arrive late and do the normal baiting the police and stewards and standing at the front and in the aisles this I Has all the hallmarks of being trouble especially if the Coventry fans have a protest during the game Hope I am wrong but some how I doubt it

“I have suggested to Coventry that they make it an all ticket event and I have asked them not to open the bar to away fans." Great, thanks for restricting our attendance and stopping us from having a drink, employee of BRFC... Can you ask the Cops to give us all a dig in the kidneys as we queue for the turnstiles?

So therefore alleviating the stewards etc. of any responsibility at Port Vale?
What really went wrong at Oxford? Genuinely interested, I didn't see much outside of the normal.

what a load of balls....
in the conference we turned up at away grounds in far greater numbers than any club or bar had ever experienced before. and the only complaint i ever got off of anyone was that we'd sold out the whole supply of cider....
just the usual bollox from some security drone....

I could not agree more. I also think DC is like a big jam doughnut with cream on the top.

Absolutely, people will always turn up after a few too many or a bit late, the key difference is always how the club in question deals with it. Blaming fans and not questioning your own response is dodgy ground...

Yes BUT that's not what our own safety officer recommended. It's Coventry's call, just as it says in the article. Our own safety officer shouldn't be treating all of us as the lowest common denominator, our own safety officer shouldn't only be blaming our fans for the trouble at Vale. Our own safety officer should be advising Coventry to treat our fans with the respect they didn't get at Vale, our own safety officer should be advising Coventry not to try and cram us into a small a space as possible in a two thirds empty stadium like Vale did. Our own safety officer should not be treating the fans of the club that employs him with such utter contempt!!!

Blaming fans and not questioning your own response is dodgy ground... the police and club security at Torquay were always the best at this. with 2000+ of us out for a knees up it was busy, but if the pubs are full then have a few cans behind waitrose. also they employed a casual uniform and had a non confrontational approach.... inside plaimoor it was always really well mannered and strangely enough there was never any trouble.....

This parrot ceases to exist! As for a song; I'm bending over a dog named Rover, I'm sure that was on the album?

Oh err; reminds me of a song sung at egg chasing pish ups & smokers in the field (often to serenade young officers stood in the fire) : Beastiality is best, all together now (Nobby will be onboard with this one)

Brilliant album except the 2 George Harrison dirges which they cleverly hid as the last track of side A and first of side B. No- one ever listens to those tracks!

“I have suggested to Coventry that they make it an all ticket event and I have asked them not to open the bar to away fans." Great, thanks for restricting our attendance and stopping us from having a drink, employee of BRFC... He's just doing his job. Suggest the blame for this is aimed at the 50 or so meat heads that can't handle their drink and so often overshadow our otherwise great support.
