29 year old striker who has never played above league 2 and done little at that level. Not for me. Same could be said about the snake when he started for us.... He's not even 29 now let alone when he signed for us...

Miller was raised in Bretton, Peterborough and played local Sunday morning football for Bretton FC before moving through the divisions with Spalding United, Stamford and Boston United among others.
Going back home for a "fat pay day"!

I don't think the Miller to Peterborough rumours are 100% legit and therefore we should be fighting to get him. Ridiculous scoring record, far outscored a lot of players that have stepped out of the conference to be championship standard.

Would be a good signing for the right fee.

Going back home for a "fat pay day"! At 28/29 he could still have 5 or 6 years left in him, so it's not like Lambert joining us just to see out his days until retirement. Talking of his Lambert his days seem numbered at Cardiff so he must be looking at dropping down to Div 1 as I can't see many Championship side rushing to sign him? Can we get him on loan next season?

The trick is to get players in like Miller before they start hitting big numbers, like we did with Taylor.
Not easy I appreciate but the trouble is without a decent scouting network we are having to put up with the likes of Blissett, James, Goldberg, Wall, Cunnington, White etc first.

His highest goal return for a season is last season where he scored 7 times 4 in one match. To put things ionto perspective last season we got 42 goals from Taylor,Gaffney,Harrison and Easter and at least 3 maybe all 4 will not be here next season so the club will have to be looking to sign 4 strikers to score more than 42 goals between them, probably more because if Taylor had stayed then the figure would be more like 50.So at least 2 of the new men will have to guarantee 20 goals each just to keep the club at last seasons goalscoring level,so when you are putting all these names forward you need to bear this in mind

Hardly prolific, simon, his biggest seasons haul is 7 and that included 4 in 1 game and that is in the conference so is he going to cut it in league 1,debateable and can we afford to buy him and tie up a percentage of budget on a gamble?

Or are you referring to someone else?

Not according to his career details, irrespective of that Harrison scored about that number in the conference and fans on here say he in not prolific enough,so is he worth the gamble? I am not sure

He scored 17 this season for Chester.
I think the Chester website is a bit out of date

Anyone who thinks Luke James won't be a Rovers player next season is dreaming. Why do you think that? I don't know. I'm just convinced of it. Totally convinced but it's just a feeling.

Well what are the options; either take a punt on a non-league unknown, pay through the nose for a proven scorer or get a talented loanee. To be honest even decent non-league and L2 strikers cost a lot these days, they shouldn't do but they do. Even Scott Rendell scores goals in that league.

Didn't realise Miller is from around Peterborough, probably makes sense that he's gone there.
Any signing will be a risk to be honest for one reason or another, there's very few 'proven L1 goalscorers' who would choose us over other clubs in the division unless we threw silly wages at it.
