I just went by a FB post quoting the statement which didn't mention it. I give up with our official site. If they did my apologies.
Imagine criticising the board for something they actually did without even reading the full statement. Literally sums up Gaschat.
I don't believe I did criticise the board in my post.

Wow, this forum should come with a health warning as reading some of the codswallop posted on this thread and others makes me want to go out and lamp someone. So to make me feel better I had to write this. I like our stadium, I like the pubs, I like the close proximity to my house, I like the atmosphere, I like standing, I like glos rd, I like that my kids can wander around the stand safely and see their mates (who they met over the season) at half time and during the game for pure u10 banter and abusing (not dirtily) the Stewards. I don't really care if the stadium is delayed, we're in good hands. Don't wish it away too soon. Other fans take the pi33 out of our stadium - so what, I don't care. Some of you should've seen Twerton....which I loved by the way. Steve Hamer hasn't posted anything, patted me on the bank or said thank you. I don't care. What am I going to gain from a thank you? Will I go back next season if he doesn't post some words on the internet? Hell yeah. Our sprinklers look like they've been salvaged by from the Second World War. I don't care, they're cute, reminds me of my youth, just wish I could get on the pitch with my top off at half time and get wet. We're spending money on improving the pitch. Great, what's not to like? If we get a really wet period we will be in a better position, games have been called off over holiday periods before losing us lots of money. Plus some silky footie at home to boot on a flat, puddle free pitch. New curtains, cleaning the carpets, pop up bars, new gates, cleaning the windows, stuff for the kids to do on match days - great, if Wael and co want to invest more, carry on. It's not my money...well it is as I spend more around the ground now rather than at the over-priced Inn on the Green - ah see what you did there Wael! Some people, stop crying, keep yer titz on and get a life. Stop micro analysing stuff when someone does, or doesn't do something Some people, carry on as you were Some people, post more Some people, post less Some people, stop getting angry Some people, get more angry Some people, lets go fxxxxxg mental la, la, la, la. Lets all have a disco, lets all have a disco la, la, la, laaaaaaaaah. KP, hope you get better soon. I'm off to see my Psychiatrist now, bye love, leave my tea in microwave. UTG Do you also like the fact that we are now losing approx £1m per season as long as we stay at the Mem?

Personally don't see the positive in this as much as I'm hopeful and trying to remain positive about uwe , just don't think with our already small player budget, plus the fact dc has stated he wants quite a few quality personnel brought in and the fact we are spending on the training ground, you would of thought that with the uwe around the corner and spare money would be put towards our squad and not a stadium that would be redundant in two years . Because the stadium won't be redundant in two years, three years or even five years. Why keep repeating the same comments when you haven't a clue what the position is with the UWE talks.

Chippenham.
Do you have any evidence that the stadium will not be redundant in the time scale you have described?
If so, would you be good enough to share this information with us, together with the provenance?
Or are you just guessing?

At least higgs kept us updated, albeit with lies, but he recognised how important it was to the fans. I really don't think wael realises how much his and the board's reputation is tied up in this. They're reputation isn't for one minute tied up in this. Totally agree and as for the lies we were fed by Higgs well as a supporter I expect to be told things about the club when there's something to tell rather than be fed bullshit on a monthly basis like we were with Higgs and co in charge.

I'm happy to wait for as long as it takes. We're in good hands. If Nick was still at the helm I'd be sh1t1ing myself tho. UTG

My mate who supports Crystal Palace moved to Bristol a couple of years back and plans to watch a local team next season. I took him to the Millwall game and he genuinely enjoyed the match day experience at the Mem. Enjoyed the proper bars (his words) before and after the game, preferred standing up and liked going in the bar behind the Blackthorn/Thatchers end at half time. He even said all the above a few days later when sober.... Glad someone got in. First time I've ever tried and it's been too full!

You can spend 80k on a new pitch. But if you got cps grounds looking after it then it won't last. All the gear no idea......

Or more likely somebody with a dislike to CPS Grounds who I assume must have replaced the ex-groundsman in looking after the Mem pitch www.cpsgrounds.co.uk/
