Related to this - I was impressed by what their chairman has said about next season. It would be nice to hear something similar from Wael as it would also back-up DCs wishes made earlier. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39846008I would only like to hear it if it was true. There's no point saying it for the sake of it to temporarily please fans, only for them to be disappointed later on when the club haven't met their expectations. I'm sure Wael will set a playing budget as high as possible under the FFP rules. However, DC likes value for money on his players, so whether he chooses to spend this whole budget or not is a different matter. In January he apparently had money to spend after the snake left but he opted not to because he didn't want to be ripped off. I can't imagine his mindset has changed since then. UTG! I thought Judas left on the last day of the window, or pretty close to it.

Not for me. Need to sign players on the way up not down. I agree. He's banged them in everywhere he has been until a couple of years ago when injuries seem to have weakened him. Hasn't started a game since August and has made little impact from the bench.

Well we signed Easter who has arguably been one of our better strikers in the last few years?

But in DC's interview a couple of days later he stated that he looked at options, but they weren't available at the right price so he was willing to wait in order to not pay over the odds for someone.

If his wages are reasonable I would take him on a two year deal. His goal record at this level is excellent - 93 in 161 games.

The problem with Williams was that PT the manager was a big bully and he tormented poor Andy all the time. Yes i know this because i Know his wife and she told me what went on. Andy would love to come back to Bristol as all his Wife's family are based in this area and i know she misses them very much

He's spent most of his career in the north where I assume he lives, not sure he'd be interested in moving this far south plus this hardly paints a great picture:
Beckford's first goal of the 2016–17 season came on 20 August 2016 in a 2–0 win over Queens Park Rangers.[49] He was sent off in a defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on 3 December for fighting with fellow North Ender Eoin Doyle, who was also red carded.[50] His return from suspension for the Lilywhites lasted only three minutes as Beckford was sent off again, on 26 December against his former club Leeds United, for kicking Leeds' Kyle Bartley

Someone on the ted forum thinks we might be after Devante Cole as a replacement for Taylor.
Cant say I I know much about him other than he is Andy Coles son.

At least he has scored a shed load at Donnie and will go on to better things.

I agree the fans got on his back quite quickly, but even when loaned back to his hometown club Hereford he didn't score many (26 games, 2 goals)

I assume that suggests they don't think he's up to Div 1 football.

"Go on to better things" in that case why have Donny released him. I assume that suggests they don't think he's up to Div 1 football. He has cut it at this level before though. Everywhere he's been since he left us he has scored goals, and most of his time has been spent playing League One football, with Donny, Swindon and Yeovil. Although, having said that I still wouldn't be bothered about signing him. I think he'd do a job for a middle-lower League One team but don't think he'll be good enough for a team chasing promotion. Also too similar to RG and EH but might be decent backup if one of those leaves. We need a smaller, quicker more skillful striker to play alongside one of those imo. UTG!
