Can't ever recall a Scot doing well at Rovers ...well I suppose Alex Munro was OK. Ian Alexander? Stuart Campbell? Ollie McBurnie? Campbell was born in Corby which I think is in England and never played in Scotland but did have Scottish parents, McBurnie hardly got a game let alone a career with us, but agree Ian Alexander was as good a right back as I've seen at Rovers. Perhaps my view is clouded by the likes of Kenneth, Duffy, Clarkson, Howie and that forward who played a few games a few years back whose name I've forgot along with some others I'm sure (Riorden ?) . Thinking about it, Jim Eadie was oK but generally I rather avoid Scottish footballers.

Jim Eadie, Tom Stanton, Sandy Allan Yes I liked Jim Eadie, Tom was born in Scotland but never played professionally there so might be Scottish my birth but was and is pretty Anglicized, as for Sandy Allan, we all had great hopes when he first signed but the promise never came to anything. Kenny Ronaldson was good when he was in the mood but that was only every 6 or 7 games - had tremendous skills but used them sparingly.

Aye! I don't recall our record with English players being very good when we signed the likes of Riordan, Clarkson and Kenneth. All signed by mr magoo , enough said. Yes, another example of Scots not working out well for us but I did very much respect Bobby Campbell (RIP)

Main diet was plankton.

Jock was and still is my favourite rovers player. He was Yate Town manager some years ago but does anyone know what he is up to these days ?

Didn't he get home sick and just buggered off? I think one of his injuries after joining us was gout.

I would definitely like to go to one of these former players dinners if jock was there. Off the top of my head other ex-players (other than those in recent pic) i would like to see in future are Brian Parkin Andy Reece Big Devon Ian Holloway Carl Saunders Dave Pritchard Sir Ricky Richard Walker Oh and Taylor (Gareth)
