What are you talking about man? He already is an asset as he shags all our wives and saves us all that hassle?
I'd rather have the shag (with the wife not Gaffers!!) and let him go shopping/be forced to watch soaps/listen to sh** conversations/put up with the kids instead.
I'd rather have the shag with him if I'm being honest

Is it just me that is worried that if he takes us up he will leave? DC was asked right at the start how far he could take the club. He didn't say anything except 'the next level'. It suggested to me that he feels the championship is our maximum level. Last year, he promised to take us to top ten league one before he'd leave.

He is honest, at this moment getting in the championship is the next project and it will not be easy, if we do get there and uwe goes belly up, i feel he will do as Gerry did and take us as far as he can, then have a choice from the offers he is bound to get if he can achieve this.

I think I am right in saying that last season was Gaffney's first full season as a professional the boy will be an asset i'm sure Assuming you mean the season just finished then it was his second full season as he was at Cambridge before he joined us, although he may have had a serious knee injury before he signed for them so didn't have a full injury free season, what's surprising is he's 28 later this year, as you tend to assume he's around a similar age to Harrison. He's quite a bit older than Harrison but played less professional football so I think that's a bit of a leveller really , the more you do the better you get and Rory is coming to the high point in his career I think judging by his age the amount of games played at professional level etc. I think we could get two or three really good seasons out of him from now on. Ellis on the other hand I've never been convinced he would make it but to be fair he has scored some important ones at every level he's played at but He just hasn't got a football brain. Gafney is a tremendous link up player and has got a football brain. If the shoe was on the other foot tonight and we'd signed Ellis but still not Rory I'd be more concerned.

I thought the bit about a left winger who cuts in onto his right foot foot interesting. It seems that dc prefers inverted wingers ie right footed left wingers. Also he wants a left footed left sided centre-back which i found interesting as you often find same footed centre-back partnerships that work well even at the top level but clearly dc prefers left and right foot centre-backs together. DC has always liked his fullbacks to overlap his wide midfielders our promotions have been built on it. So many of our goals have come from it I've often wondered why the teams we've played and easily beaten over the last three years haven't picked up on it.

Now he apparently considering a move back to Ireland...........after all the nice things I said about him; if he does leave I shall consider him a talentless bog trotter. he's just signed... Ok now we have our man secured, for which I am delighted, I predict not less than 15 goals for the big man in 17/18, barring injury. Billy Bodin will at least match him.

I guess it's not easy to mark Leads, the opposition LB would naturally mark our RW but it tends to be the LB trying to mark Leads, then Bobin causes havoc as he's left unmarked or just got midfielders picking him up once he cuts inside. It's just a pity Harris wasn't a decent defender as he fits the bill.

You mean....you don't have to use both hands? he prefers somebody else hands to do it for him..... Why the addition of "Scab" to your user name Henbury? Have you contracted a condition that requires the attention of an, ah, Special Clinic?

Just listened to this interview now. Same old thing from DC - cards close to chest, "we" will achieve things, clud needs to push on. In a way, I find most of his interviews boring and unexciting! This though, is a very good thing. He refuses to get peoples hopes up, yet keeps thing optimistic. Will be a very interesting summer for sure. If you find that interview boring how did you find MM's & JW's? I'd say that was the most inspiring end of season interview I've ever heard from a Rovers manager for a very long time, if he ever. When he reeled off the list of players he hoped to sign it was almost gobsmackingly good, in fact it was so good I might listen to it all over again this weekend, and that will be a first for me! Ok so boring might be the wrong word. Let's settle for predictable Plus he never named players - just positions. Anyone could have had a guess at those based on who he's released. We've needed another Left Back for two seasons!! That is in no way a critisism of Brown as he's is a model pro in my eyes. However, better competition may have improved him further.

Surely anyone who gives the club more of their hard earned money can't be a scab. The club have voted against the changes, so can't do much more about it. The only thing we achieve by boycotting the newly formatted competition, is to hurt our club, as the authorities don't give a 82er about us, only their Premiership fatboys, and their overpaid players who also don't give 82er about the national team.

Why are we seeing a fellow supporter called a 'scab' and nothing done about it ? I thought we had the 'attack the post not the poster' mantra on here ?

Is there anything to stop the club withdrawing from the competition, or are we bound to enter as a league one member of the EFL?
If the club could withdraw, it wouldn't lose any money because attendances in the initial rounds are poor, even before this U23 abortion.
If a number of clubs refused to take part the EFL would be forced to look at the competition again. However, a vote was taken and the majority chose the current format. That's democracy in action.
Thank God the country voted for BREXIT!
I probably won't go to the early rounds, but I respect my dear friend Henbury's right to attend.
If we were to make the area final, I would almost certainly go along. And the final along with several other tens of thousands.
That's life.
