Tomorrow will show us all where we are headed as a club in the next few years. This will be the first big chance for our new owners to really make a statement that they also want Championship football in the near term. Obviously, this is going to be anything but cheap, and up until recently I was reasonably hopeful that DC would get what he wants, or at least close to it. Now I'm not so sure. Nothing seems to have moved forward at the training ground, and I mean in terms of levelling and grading the soil for the new pitches, not the infrastructure that requires planning permission. Now today, it seems that the contractors who were planned to begin work on the drainage at the Mem are nowhere to be seen. Hope this is nothing to to worry about, but I can't help thinking back to the AGM, when Wael seemed to prefer not to be there, (yawning two or three times, and taking little part in proceedings)and then SH suddenly announcing that Wael had to leave in the next few moments because he had to catch a train. In itself, nothing much, but why was his departure time not announced at the beginning of the meeting instead of 10 minutes before he had to leave? I don't think this would have happened in a banking forum. Just hope tomorrow shows only positivity and nothing else. Still not got over your best mate Higgs selling up gasincider? Nothing the Al-Qadi family do (at their own pace - not yours) will ever satisfy you it seems. To most of us supporters they are moving the Club along quite nicely thankyou.

Would be pretty stupid if they did given no club anywhere ever makes there budget for the season public knowledge. The big problem is that some fans expect everything done over night, were making steady progress in the right direction which is more than I can say about any rovers setup for about the last 25 years.

I've always hated people trying to infer something from the body language of others. It usually says more about the observer than the observed. In any event I expect this to appear as an article in the Evil Post tomorrow with the headline "ROVERS FANS UNCERTAIN OF CLUB FUTURE AS PITCH CONTRACTORS LATE ON SITE AND CHAIRMAN YAWNS "TWO OR THREE TIMES".

Is the ground share with FGR on the agenda? Could be a possibility but would be a hard blow for the pastie-eaters to take.

Surely if he didn't want to be at the meeting, he wouldn't have went at all.
No point in doing the pitches at the training ground, until other stuff is ready, unless you want the players to change in thier cars etc?
Looks like are twisting a few small innocent things and trying to make a big deal out of them.
He's still showing an interest, but he's a busy man. That's why he appointed a chairman, as he said they couldn't give us enough time. To be fair, so far they have been more involved than I thought they would be.
Buying the land for the training ground, signing Jordanian youth prospects etc, show that they are still getting involved and looking at our long term future.
If they can't agree a deal with Uwe, we will see what happens then and if they have a plan B, until then there is no panic.

That land must of cost £1- £2 million surely? It did! I thought the suggested figure was around £500K, who is going to pay £1m for green belt farm land normally worth around £250K?
