Tomorrow will show us all where we are headed as a club in the next few years. This will be the first big chance for our new owners to really make a statement that they also want Championship football in the near term. Obviously, this is going to be anything but cheap, and up until recently I was reasonably hopeful that DC would get what he wants, or at least close to it.
Now I'm not so sure. Nothing seems to have moved forward at the training ground, and I mean in terms of levelling and grading the soil for the new pitches, not the infrastructure that requires planning permission. Now today, it seems that the contractors who were planned to begin work on the drainage at the Mem are nowhere to be seen.
Hope this is nothing to to worry about, but I can't help thinking back to the AGM, when Wael seemed to prefer not to be there, (yawning two or three times, and taking little part in proceedings)and then SH suddenly announcing that Wael had to leave in the next few moments because he had to catch a train. In itself, nothing much, but why was his departure time not announced at the beginning of the meeting instead of 10 minutes before he had to leave? I don't think this would have happened in a banking forum.
Just hope tomorrow shows only positivity and nothing else.

Not sure if that's a good analogy re Wael. And over analysis probably.
If he was a speaker then you imagine he would stay for either an AGM or a banking forum.
If he's not and you mean a banking meeting in general then you could leave when you need to.
if you mean something like a Board mtg, then TBH when you own 92.6% of something you can pretty much leave when you like / need to.

I can't see any details of the budget being released to be fair.
I'm confident DC will be given what he needs to get us pushing for promotion.
With a bit of good news in the summer about the UWE and it will make for a great season ahead.

It'll be a penny on the cost of a pasty, 3p on car parking, and probably coin slots introduced in the bogs......20p a slash, or 30p a dump.
Bastards.

I'm not bothered, I can't see us finding out anything.
I'm more interested to see what kind of players we end up signing.

Do you honestly feel the club are going to announce details of the budget following tomorrows meeting, or like with the UWE & the training ground plans, are we most likely to be kept in the dark?

Topper. I'm not talking about any particular topic in detail. We certainly won't be told what the budget is.I'm just worried that all may not be sweetness and light in Rovers land. It's just that little things on their own don't mean much. But now in recent weeks there has been Waels strange demeanour at the AGM, the no show of contractors at the Mem today, and no movement at the training ground. Now, tomorrow we have DC and his budget.
I just hope lack of funding is not the order of the day yet again.

Resurfacing won't be a problem, it has started much later than this in the past. It's all good, WAQ was just tired of your constant hounding of him and other staff at the training ground! (Joke)

I guess you could counter that by Weal and his brother appearing on the pitch after the Millwall game and appearing happy to soak up the applause, if things were going wrong why not just send SH out and keep a low profile, the announcement that £100K was being spent on the drainage system and the Jordanian joining us, another foreign training trip and DC appearing in a buoyant mood during 20men's interview. I still can't DS would spend £250K buying the training ground if they didn't intend developing just to keep DC happy.

One small yawn for Wael unleashes a catastrophic chain of events elsewhere. And I thought only the Beard was capable of such feats.

We will know soon enough about the "new ground" and once the transfer deadline is over at the end of august we will have an idea on the playing budget. Some feel everything is rosey and some have nagging doubts about the owners, both standpoints are legitimate in my view.
