No it doesn't, because the offer we made was for James and Nichols. If L2 sides were making joint bids then it would show our competitors. To be honest James needs to drop a level, get some confidence back. That's a fair comment about James He probably does need to step back down, regain his confidence, and kick back on again - he's young enough. The player I saw playing for Hartlepool, if only from a distance, looked a very good prospect. He menaced us at the Mem. For all the water taking, I really hope he does recapture his form and shows the promise he demonstrated at Hartlepool. He seems like a nice lad and always put a shift in for us. Good luck to him I say.

In regards to James do think he would be better suited to playing on the wing ? Hes not quick enough to do what danny does and hes not clever enough to do what billy does so no is the answer. As a striker he did ok except the main thing score goals. Just saying

Ravel Morrison training with Birmingham. If, and it's a big if, he can finally get his head right he could be the signing of the season in The Championship. He should be playing for England now with his natural ability. Rio Ferdinand: "Ravel Morrison, this guy was the best young kid I’ve ever seen in my life. Better than Joe Cole when he was a kid, he was doing circus tricks on a football pitch. “Ravel Morrison - I’ve never seen a guy look so comfortable on a football pitch. But you can’t just have one element without the other, you’ve got to have everything. “I’d love to see him have a chance again to come back and show everyone his talent. The kid was just different. “Pogba, [Adnan] Januzaj, [Jesse] Lingard, they used to look up to this boy. That’s what I’m saying, people don’t realise how good he was. Them boys used to look up to him like ‘woah, Ravel Morrison’.” Harry Redknapp wants Ravel Morrison to repay the faith the Birmingham boss has shown in him. The former West Ham man is on a month’s trail at St Andrews in a bid to win a contract. Redknapp told TalkSport: “He's such a talent. His ability is up there with the best there is around. "I said to him yesterday: 'Ravel, listen, there is only one mug in this country that will take a chance on you now and that is me'.”

How can any Swindon player be a "decent" signing, although it does virtually every Div 1 team is now signing players other than us.

How can any Swindon player be a "decent" signing, although it does virtually every Div 1 team is now signing players other than us. Because that is my opinion. It wasnt that long ago they were turning down bids from the championship for him - the season where he was a key player as they reached the playoff final. Swindon were mismanaged at boardroom level last season IMHO and that had a knock on effect. Kenny Jackett signed Nathan Thompson from them this summer who also looks a decent signing. Jackett is a good manager with a canny eye for a player and doesn't make many mistakes.

Looks like the only clubs in League One that have made less signings than us are MK Dons (2), Oldham (2), Portsmouth (1), Southend (1) and Wigan (2). All appear to be first team signings.

They have Mark Gillespie: The 25-year-old stopper joined Walsall on a two-year contract from Carlisle in the summer of 2017. The 6'3" custodian came through his hometown club Newcastle's youth ranks before moving to Brunton Park in 2008, aged 16. He went on to make over 150 league appearances for the Cumbrians, but turned down a new contract offer to join the Saddlers.

Pretty sure we've only signed one 1st team player, surprised Pompey haven't been splashing Mr Disney's cash around.
